Sanskrit-Hindi texts - please recommend

Dear all,

I have decided to improve my Hindi, as I am tired of slow and tense reading, and I need more and more Hindi these days. I'd like to find Sanskrit - Hindi parallel texts to read.

This one looks good:

Please recommend good quality Sanskrit - Hindi texts. By that I mean careful translation and reputable publisher.

Sadly, Prabhupada's 'translations' can't be counted as such. He's too busy pushing ideology to pay due attention to the text.

If someone knows of a good Sanskrit - Hindi edition of the Gita, please tell me the details, and I'll get it. For example, one of my students just sent me this link:

If you're blessed with both good Sanskrit and good Hindi, please look at this translation and advise whether the translation corresponds precisely to the Sanskrit original. If it does, my problem is solved.

A good Hindi translation of रामरक्षास्तोत्र, with Sanskrit text along with it, is available here.  This is the site of the Gita Press of Gorakhpur.  They have a few other Hindi translations as well.

One more question, please, Dr. Sunder Hattangadi.
You have done a number of Sanskrit - Hindi - English recordings, e.g. for the Radio Chetana.
Would you recommend the Krt Nitishataka translation you read from? Here again, we're talking purely about the quality of the translation.

Looked at the previously linked Gita Sadhak Sanjivani in more detail. On the one hand, it has the convenience of translating single words into Hindi. This is convenient and time-saving.
However, this book is written in fluent Hindi and aimed at people who already know Hindi well. The main intent here is analysis and commentary, not translation as such. Great book, but I'm not at the right level yet.
Right now I need to find good Hindi translations of Sanskrit texts I already know. This way I can see how Sanskrit meaning is reflected into Hindi sentence structure.

The words are translated accurately. In place of translation, the
'bhAvArtha' (the 'essence' of the meaning) has been given. It is thus a good complement to the Mahabharata link you posted before.

Yes Irene-ji, Gita Press, Gorakhpur is an old publishing house specializing in religious book.  My acquaintance with it goes back several decades ago.  When I was a child, not knowing any language other than my mother tongue of Marathi, we had in our house a big book - well over 1500 pages - of a Hindi translation of भागवतपुराण published by the Gita Press. It was lavishly illustrated with dozens of colored illustrations and hundreds of b/w illustrations of the stories from भागवतपुराण, and I spent countless hours leafing through it and trying to understand the stories that were all in Hindi.  (Each page of the book had, at the top, the exhortation पिबत भागवतं रसमालयम्.

Here is another Sanskrit-Hindi book, भागवतस्तुति  of the Gita Press.  It has more than 600 pages of the original Sanskrit verses and parallel Hindi translation of the verses.  The translation seems to be almost literal and should meet with your requirements.

Sanskrit to Hindi translation could be spiced up by pundits with praising words so one may look at English translation along with to confirm good translation.Also most English translators may not know Sanskrit so they may rely on Sanskrit to Hindi translation as guide.
