Bar-Chart of अधिकार-सूत्राणि of अष्टाध्यायी

When compiling my study and thoughts of अधिकार-सूत्राणि of अष्टाध्यायी it was His grace that I got this idea of building a bar-chart. I wonder whether this is first ever attempt to do so. 

I am really thrilled at the bar chart. I hope you will also enjoy it !

I guess it is a unique and different view, not only of अधिकार-सूत्राणि but of अष्टाध्यायी as a whole.

अभ्यंकरकुलोत्पन्नः श्रीपादः ।
"श्रीपतेः पदयुगं स्मरणीयम् ।"

There is no harm in running such exercise however I can not see the benefit of it can you please elaborate?

For example (These number does not mean anything I just put to get my point across)

1. Sangya sutras = 170

2. Adhirakara sutra = 535

3. Paribhasha sutra = 100

4. vidhi - 1850

5. NIyama - 1090

6. atidesha - 250

let say based on above numbers you created a Bar chart or pie chart. whats the use of that?? its not going to help anyone understand the structure.

If you can elaborate your rationale to undertake this tas, it would be great.

   Something that would indeed be useful, would be an annotated Structure Chart of the Aṣṭādhyāyī.

   Normally developed from a general idea - and sheets of blank white paper.

  Quite a strenuous mental task.

  However, with that mental work already done, as in this case and fully expressed on the paper in words, Reverse Engineering a chart from those words is a routine matter.

  These are everyday tasks for Software engineers who often have to work with undocumented spaghetti-like program instructions.

   I would love the challenge, but for a slight handicap regarding the writings of a certain ancient language.

Thanks for the information on totals by six types of सूत्र-s. As mentioned in the post, the bar chart is prepared by focusing on only 23 अधिकार-सूत्राणि as advocated by पं. ब्रह्मदत्त जिज्ञासु in his book. When I prepared the chart, I was impressed by पं. ब्रह्मदत्त जिज्ञासु's selection of the 23 अधिकार-सूत्राणि, such that the command-ranges of these 23 अधिकार-सूत्राणि cover almost the whole of अष्टाध्यायी. By that one gets a good at-a-glance view of अष्टाध्यायी. One does not get any such view by merely knowing that अष्टाध्यायी has eight अध्याय-s with four पाद-s in each अध्याय. 

At least for myself I got a good at-a-glance view of अष्टाध्यायी, which I had never had before. I guess anyone who is new to अष्टाध्यायी, would get sort of a head-start on अष्टाध्यायी by such at-a-glance view. Crux lies in पं. ब्रह्मदत्त जिज्ञासु's selection of the 23 अधिकार-सूत्राणि and the at-a-glance view obtained by my outlining their command-ranges in the bar-chart.

I would add: this helps a visualization of the at-a-glance view  of the command-ranges. of the 23 अधिकार-सूत्राणि .
