Built from fresh clone of the develop branch on three macOS systems, with no problems.

==================================

Testing (‘ptestlong’):

10.11.6 (mid-2015 MBP, Quad-core Core i7): all tests passed!

10.13.6 (2017 iMac Pro, 18-core Xeon W): one failure:
./sage -t --long --warn-long 66.8 src/sage/libs/singular/polynomial.pyx # 1 doctest failed
This test passed when run stand-alone.

10.14.2 (2017 MBP, Quad-core Core i7): all tests passed!

==================================

The failure on High Sierra (10.13) is puzzling. Anyone have an idea why this would be “transient”?

Runing ptestlong with --optional=sage,optional,external, I get

Using --optional=bliss,cbc,ccache,cmake,cryptominisat,dot2tex,external,glucose,gmpy2,lrslib,memlimit,mpir,normaliz,notedown,pandoc_attributes,pycosat,pynormaliz,python2,rst2ipynb,sage

sage -t --long src/sage/sat/boolean_polynomials.py  # 1 doctest failed
sage -t --long src/sage/misc/persist.pyx  # 2 doctests failed

The issue with boolean_polynomial is not reproducable. The other are reproducable.

See https://trac.sagemath.org/ticket/25536 for optioanal/external failing doctests.

I see this same failure intermittently, especially on a pretty fast machine with a pretty fast hard drive. I've opened up https://trac.sagemath.org/ticket/27336.
