i have not been able to track down
a means to consistently reproduce
this error, but in some projects,
running "Julia" in the terminal
results in:

Target architecture mismatch. Please delete or regenerate sys.{so,dll,dylib}.

my expectation is that i should be
able to run Julia from a terminal in
any project ... but, i imagine that
for some older projects, certain
files may be out of sync.

however, for any newly created
project, it seems that running
"Julia" from the terminal should
result in a functioning Julia REPL.

any suggestions for remedying
a "target architecture mismatch" ?

shall i revise my expectations ... ?

many thanks,

I ran Julia on all compute nodes and found a couple with this problem.
I think they are exactly the machines where I upgraded the memory.
I'm surprised if Julia is sensitive to that, but anyways.

I'm rebuilding the _newest_ version of Julia right now on all
machines, and will ensure it works.

I plan to find a way to get IJulia to work this week too.

Done -- I've built today's julia and installed it on all vm's. It
starts up at least.

Dear Professor Stein:

As of August 13th, I get the "Mismatched architecture..." message in both a python notebook and a terminal.

Thanks for the reporting this. This must be the result of either the
SSD upgrades or me adding lots of new RAM (probably the later).

I'm rebuilding the newest julia on all machines right now, so this
should be fully fixed in the next few minutes.

I'll add a monitor too in the near future so this doesn't happen again...
