two manual web interface tasks right after each other

i have two different web interfaces created. the same role is supposed to fill them out one after the other in the process (i will add a delay later in development). however, when i set the web interface for one of them, it changes the web interface for the other and vice versa, making it impossible for the two different steps to have two different web interfaces.  is this by design (e.g. only one web interface can be used per role per process? or am i doing something wrong?

Each screen displays same fields or different one

A process can only use one web interface
