RUG::B Geburtstag

Hallo,

ich habe mal in meinen Mail-Archiven gesucht und die älteste Mail, die
ich zur Ruby User Group finden konnte war von April 2007. Ich glaube es
gab auch im März schon ein Treffen. Damals fanden die Treffen immer bei
i-d media in der Ohlauer Straße statt. Erst als i-d media einen Großteil
seiner Rails-Entwickler entlassen hat, hat die RUG::B angefangen zu wandern.

Wenn ich mich richtig erinnere, haben Florian Görsdorf und andere sich
schon ein oder zwei mal im Frühjahr 2006 getroffen gehabt, dieser
Versuch war aber dann erst mal wieder versandet.

Hier hat Tim das April Treffen auf XING angekündigt.

Der Name RUG::B und die Mailingliste wurde erst einen Monat später
eingerichtet und von Florian angekündigt.

I've searched a bit in my email archives and the oldest email I could found related to the Ruby User Group originates from April 2007. I think there has been a meeting in March already. Back then, the meetings always took place at i-d media in the Ohlauer Straße. Only after i-d media layed off a majority of their Rails developers, the RUG::B started to roam.

If I remember correctly, then Florian Görsdorf and others have met once or twice in spring 2006, but this attempt petered out at this point in time.

Here, Tim announced the April meeting on XING.

The name RUG::B and the mailing list were created a month later and was announced by Florian.

as you might have read the May edition will be the 10th anniversary of
the ruby user group Berlin. As such, we'd like to look back at the
history of RUG::B a bit.

As such we'd be grateful of photos (especially from the earlier days) or
maybe some anecdotes you have or things you see that have changed.

Feel free to share on this list or if you prefer privately to me

We'd like to assemble them in a little presentation. :)
