Dear Rubyists in Berlin,

OpenTechSchool Berlin (http://www.opentechschool.org) has been running Co-Learning groups for Python and front-end technologies (JS, HTML5) for a while now - see our events page on meetup.com: http://www.meetup.com/opentechschool-berlin/.

We're also getting interest for a similar format for learning Ruby (and Rails). The Co-Learning format is roughly this: One evening every two weeks (within the week) where people of varying experience levels code together. People would bring their current projects and questions, and we'd work on them together.

The format is different from Rug::B Usergroups (as those have evolved into veritable mini-conferences by now, woop woop!), as it's focused on learning and not so much on talks. It's also different from the RailsGirls Project Groups, in that this is an open meet-up that anyone can come to without having to be part of a group.

We're not entirely done organizing - there's no dates set as of yet, and we haven't looked into rooms either. However, don't get frantic, I think we'll have something organised by next week. If some of you would like to come along, you'd of course be more than welcome.

I'd also be very happy to share this as a lightning talk (< 3 minutes) at Rug::B next week if there's still a slot.

The discussion is happening on this thread thread on discourse.opentechschool.org. If you'd like to participate in some way, you're of course welcome.

Best,

Martin
