Ehrenamtlicher IT-Spezialist für ShelterBox Germany e.V. gesucht
ShelterBox hilft Menschen weltweit, die von Naturkatastrophen oder humanitären Krisen betroffen sind, mit Notunterkünften und weiteren überlebenswichtigen Hilfsgütern.
Der gemeinnützige ShelterBox Germany e.V. ist die deutsche Sektion von ShelterBox, einer internationalen Organisation im Bereich der Katastrophenhilfe, mit Hauptsitz in Helston, Großbritannien.
Aufgaben:
Der Verein sucht zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt einen ehrenamtlichen IT-Spezialisten, der folgende Aufgaben übernimmt:
• Erweiterung einer Ruby on Rails/MySQL-basierten Webanwendung zur Mitglieder- und Spenderverwaltung (Bugfixes, Entwicklung neuer Features und Schnittstellen)
• Mittelfristige Weiterentwicklung der Architektur sowie die Koordination mit den Anwendern bei Shelterbox selbst und zwei anderen Non-Profits
Die Anwendung ist sauber strukturiert und gut dokumentiert. Ein gepflegtes GitHub-Repository liegt vor.
Das solltest Du mitbringen:
• Lust auf eine aktive ehrenamtliche Tätigkeit mit großer Verantwortung
• Kenntnisse in Ruby on Rails sowie HTML/CSS, Bootstrap und jQuery oder die Bereitschaft, sich in diese Technologien einzuarbeiten
• Interesse an humanitärer Hilfe
• Bereitschaft zur längerfristigen Mitarbeit (mindestens 12 Monate)
• Etwa 10 – 20 Stunden Zeit pro Monat
• Hohes Maß an Einsatzbereitschaft, Flexibilität und Diskretion

T-Developer for Ruby on Rails / Web Development (Volunteer)
ShelterBox provides emergency shelter and vital
supplies to support communities around the world overwhelmed by disaster and
humanitarian crisis.
ShelterBox Germany is the German affiliate of ShelterBox, an
international disaster relief organisation with its headquarter in Helston,
Great Britain.
Duties will be but not be limited to:
ShelterBox Germany is looking for a voluntary
IT-Developer for the following tasks:
· Maintenance and extension of our Ruby on Rails / MySQL based web application for our member and donor relationship management (this includes bug fixes, development of new features and interfaces)
· Further development of our IT architecture and the coordination with users at ShelterBox and two further non-profit organisations.
Our web application is well-structured and documented. An up to date and
well-maintained GitHub-Repository is available.
Your personal experience and skills:
· Eager to be socially engaged with an international non-profit organisation
· Willingness to take responsibility for our volunteer and donor relationship management application
· Advanced knowledge in Ruby on Rails as well as HTML/CSS, Bootstrap and jQuery desirable – alternatively the willingness to become acquainted with these technologies
· Interested in humanitarian aid
· Readiness to commit yourself for the longer term (at least 12 months)
· Availability of ca. 10-20 hours / month
· High degree of flexibility and confidentiality
