Robin STRYKER (University of Arizona)

Robin Stryker is Professor of Sociology in the University of Arizona and LIEPP-OSC visiting professor from May 16th to June 15th 2016. Her research interest focuses on Sociology of Law, Political Sociology, Stratification, Comparative & Historical Sociology. She has conducted comparative research on the effectiveness of anti discriminatory law on voting rights, job access and housing. She recently completed a co-edited book with LaDawn Haglund on Closing the Rights Gap: From Human Rights to Social Transformation (University of California Press, 2015). Supported by the National Science Foundation and a John Simon Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship, she is completing a book on the role of economic, sociological, psychological and statistical expertise in equal employment opportunity law and politics, 1965 to present.
