Anyone can run a headcount/try to restart the game. I set the group so that members can post without moderation. I am personally not planning on playing or organizing at this time.

The field just north of Welsh Park (sometimes called “Rock Terrace” but that name will currently confuse some navigation apps) is reseeded, reopened, and in great shape. The Blueberry Hill group played there recently, but now has permits at their name location. They’ve been playing at nominal 9 am most Sats and Suns, and 7 pm Weds. They’ve decided masks become optional on a date in late May that I don’t recall offhand.

Blueberry Hill currently has the mask mandate until May 25th. when they/we plan to be mask optional. The date doesn't have particular significance, just time for people figure out their comfort level, get vaccinated, hope MOCO follows MD guidelines, get their affairs in order, etc. I have had some good times with the Blueberry Hill people, and it's nice that is real close to my house, and while there are definitely some Rockville Ultimate that come to some blueberry games, I will say I miss some of the Rockville people that I played with for 10+ years... I hope they are doing well and we get to all play soon... Just got my second moderna shot a couple hours ago, arm is sore and starting to feel loopy... anyway hope to see you all soon. - Dan (Gibby) Gibson

So it sounds like Joe is out of it at least for now so lets start a list of fully vaccinated (flully's) players
that don't mind playing with out masks. Because of my age I was eligible early but by now it sounds like
there are many players that are fully's so lets see if we can get at least 5on5 for now.
I don't believe that MOCO is allowing games without masks so I guess we can plead ignorance and
have a mask handy. Anybody know the field availability for sat morning, rock terrace maybe?

Dear All,
Rock Terrace was good a few weeks ago. BUT the other day a "closed" sign went up (again). The field looks wonderful (they re-seeded over the winter), but the sign (which was down for a few weeks) says otherwise.
Welsh has become busy on many days with youth sports. They had an auto-permit function on the Rockville website, but after using it a few times with the Blueberry group we were told our getting permits was a "mistake" and that the City (which runs Welsh, not to be confused with MoCo) only gives out permits to youth sports. So Welsh is, to the best of my knowledge, a "play until kicked off" situation.
We have found the county (which runs Blueberry Hill) more hospitable when it comes to permits. We now have long-term permits on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings. We were beaten out by a girls' youth soccer group on Sunday and accordingly have shifted to the lower field there.

Mark thanks for the update on the field situation Ive been getting emails from central md ultimate , they are starting a list as well . Judging from the response so far there aren't as many fully's as I hoped so maybe it's too soon to start up again in Rockville . It ĺooked like there were many interested but maybe they fear a no mask game I don't know . If you can keep me posted on the fields Id appreciate it as I live 45 mins from Rockville. I,d be willing to try Welsh till kicked off if anyone wants to throw or do some drills this sat morning at 10:30.
