Good god this place is dead!

I'd like to call another meeting,

Sunday the 7th, at my place in Ann arbor

(The other robotics group I was with is almost done, so I've got free
time again)

I know I personally would like to get ahold of a motherboard
programmer, and someone with configuration experience.

Anyone care enough to show? (RSVP not needed)

and anyone need help with anything else?

I've gotten my machine working really well, and am currently starting
to print my mendel parts. So I'll be hold up in a cave printing for
the very near future, but if anyone _really_ needs a part to get their
machine printing, I can probably sneak one or two in between prints.
I have some parts for Nick, as well, so I'll show up to the next meet
for sure.

I just got my mendel printing somewhat, hopefully more as I work on the issues tonight. But may be interested in meeting this weekend. I haven't met anyone besides Nick and Tim but really want to meet the rest of you. What do you guys typically work on at meets?

So far, we have tried to get each others machines working.  The extruder has been the biggest trouble.  I'd like to see your Mendel and get some pictures for my blog, so if you can make it, that would be great.  I also need that hinged board back, so if you aren't coming could you send it with Tim?

I'd like to get a look at Tim's new heater arrangement this weekend as well.

I believe the main things we will be working on are:
StMaus:  Is having trouble with the extruder on his McWire.
Tim:  Seems to be working well at the moment.
Me:  My extruder isn't working and I might attempt to get that working again.
Johnny:  I think he has made some progress on his own RepStrap, but I'm not sure how far along he is.

Allright, so ppl are still active,

Who wants to meet where then?
I obviously prefer my own house (Ann Arbor), but I know i3 is closer
to Detroit

For what weight my voice has, I prefer i3. I'm getting closer to working
on the electronics again (for real). I'd very much like to get some data
from people with working machines regarding the current requirements of
the motors and heater element.

The current motor drivers can do 2.5A / coil @ 12v, and the official
motors are configured with two coils. It would be very nice to be
able to do up to 48v, and a few more amps. That said, the mendel
certainly does not require even the power afforded by the current
electronics. It's a case of what would be nice for experimentation,
and what's strictly necessary. Lots more would be nice, but many
people seem to be getting away with 750mA @12v.

We're all using 2A @12v heaters at this point. It's enough, but
barely. My machine takes ~ 5min to reach operating temperature, and I
extrude at a very low 185 - 190C. 4A @ 12v would be quite nice. Even
the mendel would benefit.

I think I do too... if for no other reason than supporting a local hackerspace.

Objections?

I've asked Devon to update the next meeting page to reflect this.

Curses, sorry guys, got lost on the way there and didn't feel like
making it a 3 hour drive :(

Devin, any chance I could try to hunt you down sometime this week?

Sorry, I am in the midst of FIRST competition season and needed today off
to catch up on other "stuff"... (We competed this weekend at Kettering,
and will be competing again next weekend in AA.)

I do have some really cool pics and an item to show the group though
for the next time we all can meet. Have fun today!
