I'd like to call another meeting,
Sunday the 7th, at my place in Ann arbor
(The other robotics group I was with is almost done, so I've got free
time again)
I know I personally would like to get ahold of a motherboard
programmer, and someone with configuration experience.
Anyone care enough to show? (RSVP not needed)
and anyone need help with anything else?

Should we meet at i3 or Johnny's.

Who wants to meet where then?
I obviously prefer my own house (Ann Arbor), but I know i3 is closer
to Detroit

For what weight my voice has, I prefer i3. I'm getting closer to working
on the electronics again (for real). I'd very much like to get some data
from people with working machines regarding the current requirements of
the motors and heater element.
The current motor drivers can do 2.5A / coil @ 12v, and the official
motors are configured with two coils. It would be very nice to be
able to do up to 48v, and a few more amps. That said, the mendel
certainly does not require even the power afforded by the current
electronics. It's a case of what would be nice for experimentation,
and what's strictly necessary. Lots more would be nice, but many
people seem to be getting away with 750mA @12v.
We're all using 2A @12v heaters at this point. It's enough, but
barely. My machine takes ~ 5min to reach operating temperature, and I
extrude at a very low 185 - 190C. 4A @ 12v would be quite nice. Even
the mendel would benefit.

I think I do too... if for no other reason than supporting a local hackerspace.
Objections?
I've asked Devon to update the next meeting page to reflect this.

Devin, any chance I could try to hunt you down sometime this week?
I do have some really cool pics and an item to show the group though
for the next time we all can meet. Have fun today!
