You might need to do both, or neither!

Step one: tell Reposado to replicate the El Capitan updates. You can either update the code itself (recommended), or just edit the preferences:

Step two: make sure your clients can find the replicated updates. If you are using URL rewrites in .htacess files:

Alternately, you can point your El Capitan clients directly at the El Capitan catalog by changing/managing the CatalogURL key in the com.apple.SoftwareUpdate preferences domain.

Thank You Greg,

I did successfully cloned git reposado and updated both repo and margarita but now for some reason not able to create the new branch - site opens fine. Thank You

I don't support margarita -- that's a project from another developer.

But this sounds like simple ownership/permissions issues on the files/directories.

Thank You Greg, I have set it up from scratch both repo and margarita. As of now I don't see new updates: for example in one of ElCapitan I see poages 5.6.2 and on my margarita I see 3.0.3  -

What does this mean? Is "paoges" Apple's Pages application?

Updates for that are no longer available from Apple's Software Update Servers -- Pages.app (along with the rest of the iWorks suite and the former iLife suite) is now only on the Mac App Store.

Apple Software Update and the Mac App Store are two different things. Reposado (and Apple's Software Update Service in OS X Server) will not replicate App Store items.

I was not aware of that. Thank Your Greg for clarification. I will try to finish reading documentation and working on the .httpaccess file with url rewrites. I really enjoy reposado software. -Adam

Hello, I am trying to find a file that include configs with log location. Is it possible to set up the logs which end point client connects to reposado server and which updates trying to download ? Thank You

That would be the logs of your web server.
