A Gerrit group as reviewer?

Dear Friends,

We are using Gerrit version 2.11.8

I have created some local gerrit groups (say groupA) that contains some team's ldap group.

Can I add that groupA as reviewer to any commit?

My idea is notification should go to the whole team members of Group A for review, if any developer add GroupA as reviewer.

Please let me know.

Adding an internal group should work, but adding LDAP groups is not supported.

There was some work in progress to implement it [1] but it has been stalled for more than a year.
