Reminderfox needs TB version 60 ..NOT 68! See how to install

Please be sure not to use TB68!

Reminderfox up to 2.1.6.10 doesn't run on TB version greater than version 60.* (like 60.9.1). If your system was automatically updated to TB version 68 and it seems you have lost your reminders/tasks .. don't worry those are on your system without change.

You need to reinstall Thunderbird 60 and make sure it's not updating to version like 68.

1. Find your OS and language TB version here https://releases.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/60.9.1/

2. Download and install your selected version (after you closed TB before)

3. Start TB and on the main menu open 'Edit' --> 'Preferences'  (maybe different on WIN or MAC)

4. Select the tab 'Advanced'

5. There you check the selection "Never check for updates"

So you have installed TB 60.9.1 and your current Reminderfox with all reminders/evnets/tasks etc should be back.

I've had the issue regarding the list not showing.  I downloaded the latest version (2.1.6.10 - released yesterday, 12 Dec 2019) and I've got my list back :)

Absolutely delighted, of course

I'll be holding off updating Thunderbird to 68* until such time (hopefully) ReminderFox can be made compatible

On Windows 10 with TB 68 and ReminderFox 2.1.6.10 I cannot display my list of reminders (by clicking on the ReminderFox logo or going to Tools->ReminderFox->ReminderFox) or acknowledge or snooze or in any other way change any reminders when the pop-up window appears.

Having gone back to TB 60.9.1 everything works again.

Hi!

In addition to Guenter's reply below, if you want to keep Thunderbird v68.3.1, you can easily move from ReminderFox to the Lightning calendar that is included with Thunderbird by importing your ReminderFox .ics file to Lightning.  There's information on the Lightning Calendar at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/thunderbird/calendar

I've found that the Lightning calendar works very well.

As above, I just updated to RM .....10 & am at TB 60.9.0 & my list shows blank (with the little calendar)
