Hi

We are currently working on a Implementation of OpenText Web Solutions
10 and we had a few issues with the built in text editors doing
annoying things a producing messy non compliant code.

We came across the TinyMCE integration that Missouri State did some
great work on and kindly provide on their website. We managed to
implement it fine and its been great but we have one issue with it not
working in browsers other than IE. If you try to load the text editor
in Firefox or Safari you just get the text that is associated with
that placeholder loaded in a new window and not the text editor. I
have watched the videos of the Missouri State implementation and they
seem to have it working fine in Firefox and Safari.

We have made sure that gecko and safari are in the list of allowed
browsers but have still only had luck with it in IE. Which leads me to
think that OpenText has changed something between version 7.5 and 10
which is stopping it working. I do remember reading something about
them changing the way javascript is implemented within the CMS in
version 10 which could be the issue.

Just wondering really if anyone has managed to get this working in
other browsers in version 10 or anything we could try to fix this
issue. Its great to be able to use TinyMCE as it works so well and our
users are already used to it as it is built into our current CMS.

Many thanks,

Has there been any progress on using TinyMCE in OpenText Web Solutions 10? We had been using TinyMCE in RedDot 7.5, but when we upgraded to OpenText 10 it stopped working. We liked TinyMCE much better than the current RadEditor, and were hoping somebody would have a solution.

Thanks,

Missouri State released an updated version a couple of months after I first posted this: http://webpress.missouristate.edu/tinymce.htm

It has been working fine for us for over a year now, still works after our upgrade to 10.1 too.
