Any version of 10.x I'm just want to know if they've resolved this
problem. That way I can plan my next CMS upgrade against the version
that has a fix for this problem.

Or if anyone has any steps to mitigate this problems, that would be
good as well.

Hi,

Yes we had this problem too in 10.1

After increasing the session time out to 70 min, the problem kinda stopped. I am not 100% sure if that fixed it but I don't get complains anymore.

Hi!

Check your sessiontimeout and check the settings of your (iis)
application pool.

Had this problem some years ago. searched for the source of the
problem a long time. In our case the problem the application pool was
configured to recycle automatical. (as far as i remember we had set a
number of request´s after which the application pool get´s recycled.)
--> Our own problem, not a reddot/opentext-problem.
Since we fixed the application pool - settings this problem did not
occured any more.

Thanks for the tips, I'll use the 70min session time out and see if it
help.

Christoph, did you stick with recycling after a number of requests? or
did you change it to recycle after a timed interval?

We deactivatet automatical application pool recycling. Recycling the
application pool causes a logout of all users. (The sessions are lost.
Testet this a few moments ago with 10.1.2.287 and got the error
"Session expired. Restart your browser, please.")

It look´s like the old ASP-based components of the CMS have this
problem. (SmartEdit (=Previewhanderl.ashx) works fine after pool
recycle, SmartTree show´s the session expired error, clicking on a
RedDot within SmartEdit open´s a old ASP-Page with the session expired
error.)

Our system works fine without of pool recycles.
