Anyone know how to or  have some ready example of a content class that displays the thumbnail of a pdf and then links to the pdf file?
I'm hoping to avoid manually uploading a new image as a thumbnail and utilizing what's in asset manager.

Hi Curtis,

By thumbnail, do you mean image preview of the first page of the PDF or a pdf image icon?

The preview of the first page
Not the icon.

Ok.

Though Management Server is bundled with a component to generate PDF from html, currently there isn't any out of box functionality to open a given PDF and generate a gif/jpg/png out of the first page.

However, customization is available to accomplish.

Best,

-Jian
