Hi Jack,

just to make sure the issue is not realted to the project itself I'd suggest to import the BPP (Best Practice Project) and test the performance with this project. The BPP normally shows a very good performance.

Best regards,
Manuel

Hi,

We have just installed V11 all seems fine, however it takes around 10-15 seconds from the point the user clicks login to Smart Tree/Smart Edit open and ready. Likewise in SmartTree clicking a node takes around 2-3 seconds for the action menu items to load.
The server is a new server Windows 2008 R2 (64) VM with a high spec and a seperate DB server also win 2008 r2 + on same network with no latency issues.

It is not a http network issues as if we are remoted onto the server and access the CMS via http://localhost/cms or from a external connection the problem is the same.

We have a V9 instance running on the same physical server  (on another VM). This is very very quick (hard to see lag in clicking a node to the action menu showing).

I have set the connection string (as recommended by OT) to .....pool size=10;max pool size=400;connection lifetime=60;pooling=true

Any ideas?

Cheers

Jack

Hi Manuel,
Thanks for your reply. The BPP is also slow.

Any further ideas?

Hi Jack

Thanks for your reply. The BPP is also slow.

Any further ideas?

are you still having those problems? Is there any difference in the way the V9 and V11 VMs access the file system?

Maybe you can also do a SQL Server profiling to see if there are any errors occuring?

Do the CMS logs show any error?

Best,
