Hi there,

The RedDot ProcessServer Service does not seem to start correctly after a server reboot / windows update. We've had multiple occasions lately where publication could not be started or RQL plugins did not work with an error message like this:

ExecuteAsync Error in line 0 :Error on ProcessServer.CreateAndEnqueue:RedDot.CMS.Page.TemplateDefaults.Save;RedDot.CMS.Page.TemplateDefaults.Save;System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:10086

or

ERROR [RQLWorkerFactory.CreateAndEnqueue] RQLWorkerFactory.CreateAndEnqueue Catched Exception (displayname=RedDot.CMS.PageCache.Update, queueNamespace=RedDot.CMS.PageCache.Update): No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:10086
System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:10086

The "RedDot ProcessServer Service" was not running. We're using version 10.1.2.344 on this project.
I'm wondering if this is specific to this version or if someone else has seen this behaviour after a reboot?
Is there a way to debug why the service was not running?

Cheers

Hi Heiko,
There may be many reasons for such behaviour like COM_DCOM Settings, Permission, Database connection, cms password etc.  The best way to get rid of this problem is to perform the RedDot update once again. Update will restore the permission and other fault in the CMS. Please backup your project before go through update.

Best of luck.

Cheers
