It is awful funny how much Monday Nitro and Monday Night Raw sound alike,
don't you think. Then again, when you consider how much WCW has been
borrowing from the WWF's past, it isn't exactly that surprising.

One thing that I find is unusual is how Bobby Heenan and others so casually
refer to things that happened years ago in the WWF as if they want people
to believe that they actually occurred in WCW. That's how I see it anyways.
Let's say your average Joe hasn't watched wrestling for a few years but he
remembers that HH guy and others from the WWF (although he might forget
the actual name of the federation). Now he's flipping through the channels
and comes upon WCW with that HH guy vs. Paul Ordorff or Kamala or "Andre's
Son" and being that he hasn't watched wresting for a while, actually believes
this is the same wrestling organization that he watched years ago. Heck... all
the wrestlers are the same... the announcers are almost the same...

Maybe they don't want to tip people off that this ISN'T the same organization
they watched years ago, so they don't mention the fact that Bobby Heenan
managed Arn Anderson (and things like this) in another organization.

I agree with you totally on the Monday Nit Ro and Monday Night Raw.. I was
thinking the same thing. BTW.. what did you think of the debut??

As for Heenan, he does mention subtlely once in a while that he used to
manage Arn Anderson, and others. He did so in this past WCWSN. Now,
something mentioned in AOL's squared circle this evening, if WCW would
stop making cheap shots at the WWF (ie, Michael Wallstreet's interview,
Hogan-Luger post match discussion), things would be a whole lot better.

I'm looking forward to these Monday Night Wars... remember, the real
winners in this war are the fans. --------- and the fans on the
West Coast, who can watch Ro at 6pm and Raw at 9pm....

Heenan did mention during one of Randy Savage's matches on WCW Pro and he
made the comment that he (Heenan) had been around when Hogan was champion
and when Savage was champion.

Heenan mentions ALL THE TIME about the people he has managed in the past.
he talks about when he managed Arn Anderson (WWF), Ric Flair (WWF), Tully
Blanchard (WWF), Paul Orndorff (WWF), (does NOT mention Haku/ Ming), used
to mention Rick Rude, will mention Terry Taylor if he ever comes back. He
always talks about Hulk Hogans past, and significantly, if things work as
planned for Savage, about how Savage and Hogan feuded (Savage supposedly
was promised the belt, or at least a series of belt matches, when he
entered WCW, to come about early next year).
