What the hell is Serge Savard thinking? Brian Bellows for Mark Bureau.
Okay you cut the payroll but certainly Bellows is worth more than Bureau.
Over the last year we've seen the exodus of team leaders such as Muller,
Carbonneau, and now Bellows, as well as promising players like Haller,
Desjardins, LeClair, Mattieu Schneider and even Jimmy Montgomery. What
Serge has brought in return Mark Lamb, Mark Bureau, Pierre Turgeon, and
Vladamir Malakhov. Not too good, especially when the farm team is not
that well stocked due to many poor drafts in a row.

Anyone heard lately from Brent Bilodeau, David Wilkie, Turner
Stevenson,Lindsay Vallis, and Eric Charron the 1st round picks from
1988-1992. In 1987 Savard took Andrew Cassels first, but he's in
Hartford in a trade that netted the Habs a second round choice, Valeri
Bure who with Saku Koivu are the only hot prospects around. In 1986 Mark
Pederson was first and the year before that Jose Charbonneau...not very
productive.

Even Sam McMaster might be able to make a good deal, but before he does
Serge baby, I'd never steer you wrong, I've got this bridge it runs
between Brooklyn and Manhattan, it's hardly been used and all I want is a
goalie and maybe a defenseman...

You've forgotten Brad Brown, who's one of the most highly regarded defense
prospects anywhere. He may be "hotter" than Koivu.
