So let me get this straight, Ken. One misguided individual posted what
was intended as a political joke before knowing the full scope of the
disaster and then upon learning the facts apologized for it. That's ONE
person!

Yet you use that to label liberals, I know you didn't use all but it was
implied, as haters. I just don't understand your reasoning.

It happens time and again. And they feel justified in doing it. From former vice president Gore referring to conservatives as the "extra-chromosome right" to seething rants from Madonna and Sandra Bernhard. They just cannot help themselves. So many of them are that full of hate if you do not toe the ideological line. Have you already forgotten how W was treated?

One place we really differ, my friend. I actually voted for George Bush
then became disenchanted with some of his decisions and moves. For
example, I approved of the inital war in Afghanistan because their
government had sheltered and facilitated the training of the 9/11
terrorists. That was a de facto declartion of war on us. However, I
totaly disapproved of the war on Iraq long before the first mission was
flown across the border. The reality was that Iraq posed no threat to
our security but President Bush was convinced by Cheney, Wolfowitz and
others that they did. That was a really, really bad decision with far
reaching, expensive and tragic consequences.

BUT, he was my president and commander-in-chief and while I disapproved
of his actons there was no way I would denegrate the office, him or his
lady. While I might make a rational argument against his policies or
actions wouln't stoop to character assination. And that's where you
and I part company. Is Mrs Obama really Moochele? If you have a
rational argument against her actions or agenda then make a rational
argument without the slurs. The same for the president - if you have a
rational argument make it without name calling.

You claim that you don't hate anyone. Well, maybe except for one or two
:-) But your posts indicate otherwise - you have little use for anyone
slightly to your left.

I do truly wish that you would give the poitical crap a fucking rest and
be the entertaining guy I know you can be when posting about golf.

Kenn Smith questions why Chickenshit Pitts posts as he does...hmmm..

Let me try that one: Because he's an asshole.

Here's a whining, scumbag who spews hate with literally every one of
his political posts and he has the gall to accuse anyone else of "hate."

Not a tough call: Pitts is an asshole.

You must have forgotten that the Clinton administrations view of Iraq was the same as Bush.
Clinton was afraid to do anything other than drop bombs and fly cruise missles into asprin
factories.

Pitts has a serious problem in that he can't see but one side of any
issue. He doesn't even realize that his hatred is exactly the same as
what he's preaching against. He's said horrible things about both
Obamas, and anyone else who is other than a ultra-right thinker, but
that's ok because he's doing it.

He's done the same thing with Tiger Woods. He can't hide his hatred
for him, and it started with the big money he received from Nike,
before he even was a force on the tour. I honestly believe that he's
like my parents were. They weren't prejudiced against any black that
they knew, but the others.....? I'm afraid so because that was the
way of the South in those days.

At one time Chris Bellomy and I both were very friendly with Ken,both
on line and on the golf course. We spent years trying to get him to
see that his vitriol and blindness was a serious problem, both with TW
and politics. It finally got to the point that we just decided that
it wasn't worth the effort. Now you're suggesting this to him, with
the same results.

It's whistling in the wind Kenn.

He is not going to change because it's a sickness. He's blind to the
fact that there are some conservatives that are just as outlandish and
hateful as some liberals. This deep-rooted hatred is why I have
nothing to do with him anymore.

Strange thing, Bobby, I would still enjoy a round of golf with Ken
tomorrow. He's a good golfer and good company on the course.

I think the depth of my frustration with his corrupting and dominating
this forum with his constant tirades against "liberals" was shown when I
actually posted an obscenity about it. You would have to go a long way
back to find another one - it's just something I don't do.

His response to one of my posts about his war on liberals was for me not
to lay it all on him. I don't but he is clearly the leader of the pack.
I haven't bothered to do so, and won't, but go back over the threads he
has started in the past month or so and count how many of them are
political and how many of them are golf related. My guess is that is
would be a whole bunch against zero.

There are dozens, maybe hundreds, of political sites where the posts
would be appropriate but in my view this just isn't one of them.

I would say her hate filled left wing rant is reprehensible beyond belief

Well I've give you credit for one thing bucko. You, like your fellow left
wing loons, blame President Bush for everything, but you took longer than
most to do it. And, BTW, Obama and his class warfare, blame conservatives
for all problems political strategy, has divided, polarized and created
more hatred in America than we've had since the Vietnam war in the 1960s.

LOL! And you don't see the glaring irony and hypocrisy in your own post?

Irish Mike

The essential difference between liberals and conservatives is that
liberals can't exist without conservatives to defend their freedom and
support them economically. Conservatives, on the other hand, can exist
and live quite well without liberals.

A bunch of BS from Bobby.

First of all, Bobby Knight is completely wrong about me. I would say that he is a liar except lying involves relating something that the liar knows to be false. I am certain that given his agenda against me, Bobby believes he is telling the truth about me.

Here is the truth. I don’t hate anyone. Not Tiger. Not the Obamas. Not William Ayers. Not Pelosi. Not Reid. Not Baker. Not golfbum18. Not Don Roof. Not BobM. Not Randy Brown. I hate the sin, not the sinner. I hate what the left is doing to my country. And I hate the ass-kissing from sycophants as it is being done.

What horrible things have I said about the president and his wife? Cite them or shut up about it from now on. Have I called the First Lady Moochelle? Yes. I freely admit it. She deserves it. Her butt is as wide as the Potomac and she wants to lecture everyone about nutrition and obesity? What a hypocrite! If she looked like Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy, maybe I would stop and listen. But the First Lady would make about three of Jackie O. And she showed her ass before they were even sworn in with that remark about being proud of the country for the first time. I have been proud of my country all of my 61 years.

Next, Bobby should leave my parents out of this, God rest their souls. Bobby fancies himself a musician. He couldn’t resin my dad’s bow. I don’t care who he has played with.

I do not hate Tiger. For the umpteenth time. I would feel the same about him and his sorry attitude if he looked like Jack’s own son. Yes, I was against that contract with Nike because it was not warranted. He had not hit a lick on the tour yet. He turned out with $40M already in his pocket. He has never had to hit a single shot worried about where the money for the mortgage payment or the Mercedes payment is going to come from. I guarantee, that the poor guy way down the money list is going to protect that check if he gets in position for a juicy payday. Tiger can just fire at the win. It’s all he cares about. 2nd is the same as 32nd to him. The prize money is lunch money to him. And his behavior? He seems to have toned it down some. Maybe it’s time, since he has done this crap his whole career. He is closer to 40 than 30. The apologists used to always use his age as the most convenient excuse. Can’t do that any more. He’ll throw/kick more clubs and drop more f-bombs. Mark my words.

Since Bobby brought up Chris Belomy once again. Bellomy’s treatment of me is straight out of Saul Alinsky. Portray the opposition in the most extreme terms and take the possibility of any response away. I absolutely reject what Bellomy said about me. I want the chance to talk to him about it to his pasty white face. **I do not wish for or advocate physical violence against leftists.** I advocate confronting them at the polls and defeating them. I want to know what it is I said or did to bring that on. I think he was just showing off for his other lefty buddies. Hey, watch me throw my fellow club member over the side! I would call Bellomy a liar also, but it is just like Bobby. He is so brainwashed with his radical leftist leanings, he believes what he said about me is true. The liar has to know what he is saying is false for it to be a lie.

Both Bobby and Chris have been very unfair to me. I do not deserve this shit.

Kenn, I look at the Internet as the marketplace of ideas. There have been political discussions here since I first showed up in the mid-nineties. There are plenty of lefties in RSG who start discussions. You are treating me like I am the only one.

I am going to give three more examples of hate from the left. This has been going on for a long time. These are maninstream media types. Find for me the corresponding hate speech from conservatives in similar positions. And I don't mean the Westboro Baptist nut cases. I can tell you right now you will not be able to do it.

http://archive.mrc.org/notablequotables/dishonor1999/welcomeaward6.asp

1998 - Keith Olbermann (representing MSNBC) compares Kenneth Starr to Heinrich Himmler, the infamous Nazi inquisitor. Judge Starr is now the president of Baylor University. I guess the regents didn't check with Olbermann before they brought Judge Starr on board. I used to like Olbermann when he was on Sports Center with Dan Patrick. From way downtown, bang.

1995 - Nina Totenberg (representing NPR) wishes AIDS on Jesse Helms and his grandchildren. This compares favorably with the citation I made at the beginning of this thread. Wishing death on children in the name of her leftism.

1994 - Julianne Malveaux (representing USA Today and Pacifica Radio) wishes that Justice Clarence Thomas would be fed eggs, bacon and butter to bring about his untimely and early death. Nice. Can you imagine if a conservative pundit said such a thing about a black political figure?

There are an unlimited amount of other examples. I stand by my original sentiment about leftists being full of hate for everyone who does not pass ideological muster. Myself? I believe in the big tent like Reagan. I'm an issues guy. And I always take the conservative position.

All that said. I like you Kenn. And I respect you. You are one of the few in this shit hole who has been decent to me up and down the line. Believe it or not, I have to cite Annika1980. Also David Laville, John Pflum, Frosty, Eric Strulowicz and, of course, Dene.

Because I like you and respect you, I am going to make every effort to honor your request. I am motivated to prove Bobby wrong about me one more time. I reserve the right to respond, but I will hold that in check. No new threads about politics. That is my pledge. My stalker will be shrieking right away, I am sure. (BTW, I am going to redouble my efforts to ignore gratuitous attacks against me.) Will I backslide? I guess we will have to find out.

Regards - truly.

Ken, I truly appreciate your response and willingness to try to stay
away from political posts. I hope that will make for a positive change
in the tone of the board.

So far as the attacks on you go, just ignore them - sspitballs off an
elephant's back. Do what I do, just choose who you want to read and who
you don't. As I have posted before there are some on here if I see them
as a poster I just don't read them - they aren't there. Baker and
Horvath lead that list but there are others.

Did you guys in the DFW area get hamered by weaher this afternoon? It
sure looked like it on radar. We've been under severe thunderstorm
warning and tornado watch since early morning. We had one big cell move
across about 17 miles south which hit Killeen and environs hard but we
only got hit by a smattering of rain. Tornado watch is lifted but
thunderstorm waning still in effect until tomorrow morning.
