Also, Congratulations, Worldcon!
Perry
Actually there might be more reasons to congratulate Leslie, but maybe
she should tell it?
(Reference her comments on my Filker Facebook page, which is kind of
public IIRC. )
Sean
Sounds cool. What's your Filker Facebook page link?
Perry
Heheheheh. Yeah, I've already announced this on Facebook. I'll be
getting married on November 13, to my old Berkeley Pagan buddy, Rasty
Bob Ralston. We're not sure yet where the ceremony will be held: a
local park or, depending on weather, the nearest UU church to Rasty's
daughter's house, where the reception will be held. We've had some
suggestions, but haven't yet chosen the officiating minister; we're
looking for a Pagan authorized to perform weddings. Now remember,
we're doing this for purely economic/legal reasons so we can join our
fortunes, our health insurance and our legal resources. There's no
silly-kid romanticism about this at all. No, we're just good
friends. Honest.

I hope this works out well and happily for both of you.
Don't forget to draw up a prenuptial agreement ahead of time clarifying
ownership right of your songs and royalties.

Some of us aren't signed up on Facebook, Leslie.
I for one never intend to do so.
--Lee
Ok, I want to tell you how this came about and its current status.
I started to create a group for myself to organize my filker contacts.
It got away (metaphorically at least) from me, and was open to many.
These days, against my wishes, it is a closed group. This means I get
to approve all requests to join, not that I really wanted to end up
doing so. I would rather have it be open to all.

Actually Leslie's FB page would likely echo the same information.
Marrying a person who is a good friend is a good idea.
May your life with Rasty be wonderful.
Sean
Still, MAZAL TOV!
Congrats to you both, then. And to Worldcon for your presence.
Perry
Sorry, not a Pagan. I can legally perform the wedding though.
