Tim Kelly of Slaughter Dies in Auto Accident

You guys may have already heard this, but it has been reported that Tim
Kelly, lead guitarist of Slaughter, was killed in an auto accident
yesterday. They have been talking about this on the message board at
queensr˙che.com. Here is the address for the official press release:

I am a big fan of Slaughter, and I will miss Tim Kelly's playing very
much. For those of you who haven't tried out their newest cd,
Revolution, give it a spin. It is classic Slaughter. Thankfully, it
looks like the band will carry on.

Between this and the Queensr˙che situation, rock news has not been very
good lately . . .

Its a tragedy when anybody dies, but this really SUCKS!! I loved Slaughter
while I was growing up.

A soul has left this earth who was probably not ready to go. For this reason,
his death is sad. As for the band and its music, I'm sorry, but I have to say
that his passing may have been a blessing for legitimate bands everywhere
(especially the 'Ryche).

Excuse me, but what does this "blessing for legitimate bands everywhere"
quote all about? Are you suggesting Slaughter isn't "legitimate"? Sorry
to inform you, but they are one of the most legitimate bands around.
Never will you find a band who cares as much for their fans as Slaughter
does. Yes, 'Ryche comes in a close second, but Slaughter was a band that
has always been there for their fans, and I'm sure they'll continue to
stand by their fans through this tragedy.
