Ok i've heard bahamut lagoon, tenchi sozo, and tactics ogre aren't going
to be released in the US. Why??? There's a budding rpg market here which
is evident from the popularity of the FF series and Chrono Trigger. What's
going on? All these quality titles i'll never get to play :(. There's no
way i'd play the japanese version of the game... (since i don't read, write
speak, or understand japanese)

So my question to all of you is... how do you get in touch with companies
like square and enix? I'd like to write them and see their own reasons for
not releasing these fine games. I know i probably won't get a response from
the companies but you never know until you try eh? :)

Could i get an email address for square or enix's customer help?
Please send me the addresses through email tho, as i rarely check the
newsgroups.

There are different reasons for each game. As for SoM2, Square claimed it
was too hard to translate this one. Bahamut Lagoon won't do it since the
market for stategic-RPG is too small (yeah, right...) and Romancing SaGa
III will suffer the similar fate as RS and RSII.

As for every Enix game, being Dragon Warrior V (DQVI), Genesis (Tenchi
Souzou), Dark Half, The 7th Saga II (Mystic Ark) and Tactics Ogre, the
situation is quite fuzzy right now. As Enix of America closed for at least
a year -- and maybe forever -- it's up to other companies to import those.

Oh please, I beg you, please send them some mail! The only way to convince
them that there IS a market is if this market shouts out loud to them.
(You can also send Email, but it usually proves to be less effective.)

Don'tcha have any game from them? (The address is always printed on the
box.) But maybe you threw the boxes away, so here's what you're asking:

*** Square games (FF Extreme, SoM2, BL, RSIII)

Ted Woolsey, 8351-154th Avenue N.E., Redmond, WA 98052
<Squ...@aol.com>

Square of Japan has a site at
<http://www.spin.ad.jp/square/index.html>

If you're asking about SoM, then you MUST look at IG Online for:

<http://igonline.escape.com/features/advoc2.html>

*** Enix games (DWV, Genesis, 7th II, DH, TO)

The best way to get those goodies is asking either Square or Nintendo
to pick them up.

As for Nintendo, they aren't smart enough to put their Smail address
on their web site (!) but check any manual of any game for any 'N'
system. It's there. Email is <nint...@nintendo.com>, and web site is
<http://www.nintendo.com>.

If you still want to deal with Enix, try
<http://www.marinet.or.jp/com/enix>. I don't have their Smail address,
but send me Email and I'll get back to you -- though it might be useless,
since they're closing.

Please keep the letters going, and let's get AT LEAST SoM2 and DWV.
Anything less would mean we're losing the battle.

Well, I can't find "Enix" ever mentioned anywhere in my Tactics Ogre
cartidge. Both "Ogre" games are made by a company called Quest. Enix
just imported Ogre Battle, so it's perfectly possible that any other
company can import Tactics Ogre. However, I have stated a number of
reasons (involving target age group and CENSORING in the US) that
does not favor this.

Just slap a Mature sticker on it, no big deal.
