TSR is Now in Cyberspace on AOL
LAKE GENEVA, WI -- TSR, Inc. announces the opening of "TSR Online"
beginning Monday, January 23 on America Online (AOL). This new agreement
means all of AOL's 1.5 million subscribers may now access TSR art,
adventures, stories or game designers around the clock by entering
keyword: TSR. TSR is the first game and book company to build a complete
graphical forum on the system!
When members reach the TSR Online screen, they'll be greeted with the
TSR logo and two menacing gargoyles. Surrounding the eerie scene are
buttons for eight different interface areas: Gallery; DRAGONŽ Magazine;
Q&A; New From TSR; Download of the Month; TSR Live; Library; and Online
Catalog. Three of the areas (Q&A, New From TSR, and TSR Live) are now
available and the rest will be online in a few short weeks.
"Gallery" includes 30-40 of TSR's most famous illustrations from
Easley, Elmore, Parkinson, Fields, Ruppel, Brom and others. New art will
be added on an ongoing basis. With "DRAGON Magazine," the world's most
popular gaming magazine goes online. It will include stories from the
paper edition and unpublished pieces that hit the cutting room floor.
"Q&A" features celebrity guests to field your gaming, convention,
industry, or personal questions. "New From TSR" contains the industry's
hottest gaming, convention, and book news.
"Download of the Month" features sneak previews of products, software,
game supplements, player submissions and more. "TSR Live" is our live
gaming and chat window. "Library" carries errata files, software, rules
additions, modules, monsters, and even complete gaming systems! "Online
Catalog" lets you shop in our subterranean vaults of old and new products.
TSR Online spearheads the company's future internet services. According
to TSR Online's system administrator, Rob Repp, in the near future,
members will also be able to join the RPGAŽ Network, register for
conventions, subscribe and renew magazine subscriptions, and much more. He
also leaked TSR will give members special T-shirts, modules, and prizes
when they discover secret windows in the forum. However, they won't find
any hint books to help them out. It all starts Monday, January 23. TSR
also maintains an active forum on GEnie. Users may access the area by
entering M125. ###
