REBEL 7.0 will be released. Rebel 6.0 has managed a second place in the SSDF
rating list sofar with an ELO of 2424 only 13 points behind a first place.
Will Rebel 7.0 go for the first place again? It won't be the first time that
a program of Ed Schr”der showed up to be the strongest chessprogram available!
A full year of developments has resulted in more than 30 new features
comparing to Rebel 6.0. Here is the main list.
- Improved chessprogram (50 ELO Points)
- Because of 486 and Pentium optimized code 25% faster
- Because of VESA support faster graphics (2-3 times)
- 256 colours completely free to define
- Three Animation levels (none, normal, fast)
- Program now in 5 languages (English, German, French, Spanish and Dutch)

chessbrain. Extra Information about Plies, Hashtables, Selective Search and
Time control.
PLY Info about the real plydepth (including all extensions)
SELECTION Info the selective search in percentages
HASH Info about "Transpositions" and percentages of free entries
in the Hashtable
TIME Info about the Minimum Time and Maximum Time the program uses

- Hashtabel support now till 64 Mb
- Rebel 7.0 is compatible with the external Mephisto Chessboard as well as
with the Saitek Kasparov board.

While (Auto)playing your games REBEL 7.0 offers you the following extra:
- Rebel 7.0 will cancel double games !!
- Rebel 7.0 shows you the SCORE of the current match !!
- Rebel 7.0 will (automatically) terminate games which are WON, DRAW or LOST.
- The games are saved with more information (result, playing level,
machine type and speed, full date etc.)
