1. Place your pieces in the center.
2. Then move your pieces toward the enemy King.
3. Deliver mate.

My personal favorite chess tactic is this: when you are behind in
material, trade pieces. Your opponent will be so stunned you will be able
to whip together a powerful mating attack :).
