For those who are not familiar with Rebel ...

- DEEP BLUE means the move played by DEEP BLUE through the eyes of Rebel.
- Kasparov, G means the move played by Gary Kasparov through the eyes of
Rebel.
- Rebel 7.0 means what Rebel 7.0 should have played here instead.

Hi, Ed

Many thanks for posting the REBEL7 analysis to each of the games. A brave
decision, but the program has not let your confidence in it down, and I'm sure
many of us have enjoyed searching the games for those tell-tale !! marks!

Best wishes :-) Eric

Thank you Eric, it was my pleasure to do so. I simply could not ignore
it, afterall it was the first time a computer won at tournament level
from Kasparov and that is real history!

About brave...
It is not that brave if you realize that Rebel7 searches about 20.000
positions a second at P90 where Deep Blue searches 100.000.000 a second,
which is 5.000 x faster.

It's obvious (atleast to me) that Deep Blue is the strongest chessprogram
at the moment, no matter the disappointing results of the computer
worldchampionship in Hong Kong 1995 where it got only 3.5 out 5 against
other chessprograms. This was just a case of statistical errors, if the
tournament was played again I am sure Deep Blue should have won it, since
