Although the splendid DOS database TascBase 2.1 runs finely
under WinXP it can now also run in DOSBox under WinXP, et al. This
brings graphical advantages as you can use the VideoMode = SVGA
option in the ini file. The graphics, especially with the 'fullscreen' and
'fullresolution' options in DOSBox, is now marvelous, and it remains the
best chess software ever created. See my description of TascBase
