Anyone have the above CD-ROM products from TASC? The former is advertised
as having 4,000,000 moves and analysis in TASC and CB format, + 120,000
games. The latter has 250,000 games. The price in the UK was £39 for the
former and £69 for the latter. How do these compare to the CB ans CA products?
To Deja Vu?

Hi Richard. We just received our first shipment of the new TASC FideChess
Encyclopaedia and TASC PerfectBase on CD ROM. We, because of the
Christmas rush, have not had any time to evaluate them, but the specs
look incredible. I am not an expert on CB, CA or Deja Vu, so I cannot
compare them but here in the U.S. the two sell for just under $100 and
just under $80 respectively and that seems pretty impressive and perhaps
more than competitive. Regards, Steve (ICD/Your Move Chess & Games)

Of course if you just want Raw games you can get a CD-ROM with 600,000
games in ChessBase, Chess Assistant, and NicBase format from
International Chess Enterprises for $99.
