Running here is not because we are ahead in the race. It would be unthinkable for me to run if our checker at 9 was at 10 for example. It's bacause letting O hit pays in losing her anchoring point.It also creates a landing point at 16 for running later if we get hit. The race lead is good but it's clear it costs us in timing, and we currently have nothing much to play, so exchanging some of the race for better timing is a nice option.
X having made his 2 point stuck himself to the plan of having to fill the other points and this can't be done easily, he needs to attack/hit loose etc.

I wonder what the best play would be if X had the 5 point made instead of the 2 point.
