For an event that either happens with probability p or doesn't with
probability 1-p and 120k hands you expect to observe

p +/- p/350

The posted probabilities seem more or less reasonably distributed for
that many hands.

Incorrect.

First off, everything will be normalized, meaning if the hand didn't
go to the river, then of course that doesn't count as a river sample.
Then again, if what you say is true, the curve plot of each numerical
value of card would be somewhat skewed, and that can be normalized
too. Just two 100,000 hand samples oughtta do it.

But com'on down to Ocean's 11 and lay me 3.5 - 1 on an A, K or Q
coming on the river. If we don't get to the river we each put up the
same amount again.

These stats mean nothing.

The things people are complaining about are the flops and rivers. The
starting cards could be normal as hell. But I guarantee if you examine
the flops and amount of hands won on the river, you will see that
pokerstars is a fradulent site that uses shady tactics.

Stats shown may be true but having nothing the fuck to do with what
anyone is negatively saying about pokerstars.

Flop, turn, river cards are not going to be equally likely.

The analysis of flop, turn, river card distributions is not simple.

Augie, just a question, cuz i didn't follow your logic very
well...Won't the expected win rate with these pocket pairs be very
different depending on your style of play or, more importantly, if
you're playing NL vs limit? In NL you can make a bigger pre-flop raise
with your AA and effectively get more players to fold.

I know you understand this, so I am pretty sure I am missing something
from what you said. Could you please explain to us "slower" RGPers.

Not true. You can easily measure your earn. Here's a repeat of

time.

Number of hands observed 12,498

Hand Observer Expected Winrate W/L

AA 53 56.8 81% W
KK 55 "" 64% W
QQ 41 "" 66% W
JJ 71 "" 60% W
TT 61 "" 59% W

I don't have this many hand histories, so these aren't my statistics, but the statistics are anonymous. I also have permission to post these, so, anyways, here they are, hopefully these, along with statistics for card distributions from Paradise Poker and TruePoker which I've posted in the past, will be read by some of the conspiracy theorists! This research is more then 10 years old, so its not valid in any way. This study is probably made under the influence of pokerstars or better name for them Jokestars and if we mention the source of played hands from this study there is no quesstion that the same study is a froud as same as jokestars.Fact is that there are so many bad beats way out more then it should be and the same princip that jokestars is useing is that the game must be funny and interesting so people would show more interest to play and thats how the game is created on jokestars.Plus if we mention the fact that some players always win the hands no matter the odds, usually on the river, that makes the impresion that those players allready knows what card will be displayed on river, by my homble opinion they know that. There is no other explanation except that the game on jokestars is fake and corrupted, after all we are talking about large sum of money. And the fact when you complain about bad beats they direct you to this study which is made by them and its 10 years old and when you tell them those fact above mentioned they simply say that you have been explained about how fair their hand are and that they will not discust any more with you on this subject.Picture is more than cristal clear.I have been playing texas holdem longer then the jokestars exist, across the planet from las vegas to atlantic city, barcelona, cancun , all acros europe, south asia and i have never ever in my entire life seen so many bad beats like on jokestars, the feeling is like im in some action movie from hollywood, unbeliveble, the situation i have been thru while playing on jokestars is undescribe, there are no words to use.No question this site is corrupted and with this post i would like to call people from all around the world to contact me on email rvlad...@yahoo.com who are willing to press charges against jokestars for froud.Im a lawyer and i would be glad to sue jokestars for froud specialy becouse they have ruin this beatifull game and turn it into a joke.Sadly they call them selfs the biggest poker room on the planet. Its time to stop this froud once for all

I could not agree more on that f.... Poker stars is a scam and a fraud. F... thr statistics because they do not prove that turns and rivers are manipulated... In four years of playin I have always but always been rigged with bull shot hands especially ehen my stack was really big and just before the money.... Numerous situations when there is f..... no chance that anybody would call but this fake guys do because they know what card eill turn... I have also written to support numerous rmails eith copies of printscreen shots but they always just write to look at the stats... Fuck this bull shit Really in 4 years every day the same fucking story... I just hope that one day they get what they are looking for and that somebody will lose it and get back to them!!! Lile it was written, this is a bull shit american hollywood movie for idiots to play on...

I can tell you eith 80% accuracy when I see the flop and the other players cards what will open... For instance the biggest bull shit is that this is a real player my hand from cash game yesterday ehen on flop there where 369 in diggerent colors, I had QQ and the otjer player calls me all in with A5 in his hands and he calls with 135 usd or something like that mine 80 usd and gues what shows up on turn????? A hahahahaha only a idiot could go all in eith that....

Looke I play almost every day for fout years on your site and really just because I was thinking that this is not possible but now I have seen enough!!!! Today I was rigged at the end with J8 in my hand and on flop J8J and gues ehat the other player had after I called all in??!!! J10 and gues what riber turns a 10 like allways!!!!

And the biggest bull shit is that always flop and two other cards open just lile that that you will for sure go all in coz nobody would fold strong hand or nuts on the flop... I am so possed about this fucking bull shot site and I am pissed of the most because they can just keep on doing this bull shit and laugh at us coz nobody can do nothing until somebody loses it.....

I think it i a crock I have played well over a million hands on many different levels of buy in's. Now bad poker play is for sure going to make the bad beats higher but you looking in the wrong spot to see where the deal IS NOT random. Do not look at the end look at the hands then look at the flop then the turn you will notice in most cases that the people involved in the hand usually have no choice but to go to the end just to lose. You ever have so many outs your alomst guaranteed to win well let me clue you in you wont win! It is set like that to keep you in the game make the rake higher and max out the rake! The end result in the bad beat is not even a question it is what happens to get you to the bad beat that you need to look at. Why also do you think they use a Indian reserve company to regulate ???? well because they are not governed by federal law and can do what ever they want so yea that BS too! ive it to a legit company that is held accountable for lying and you will hear a different story. Ask your self another simple question! What happens if they were to found to rig the deal for action? The answer is simple NOTHING they will not go to jail they will not get fined they receive no punishment what so ever! They make millions MORE by rigging for action and yes bigger games are not forced as much simply because the big spenders would not tolerate it! We can complain all we want our meager deposits and meager money they make off of us means nothing to them and they know a few people will do nothing to damage the company! You just need to ask the simple questions to find the true answers! Of course they rig the deal ismply because they are not held accountable for rigging it by anyone. Now withthat said you can win a lot of money and they will pay you but you have to be in the right place at the right time. And never ever ever ever play when you cash out because you will encounter what they themselves at poker stars have dubbed the "CASH OUT CURSE" Yes they actually sent me an email saying it is not the deal it is the cash out curse is the reason for mu sudden streak of never cashing in any sit n go and tourney to which I cash in more that 40% of my tourneys but suddenly it all stops completely! Bad streak is a bad streak I have been playing poker for more than 13 years believe me I have had my share of bad runs but usually never after I cash out LOL! It will always happen when you cash out and your cash out is pending now do not take my word for it record it yourself! As for the email hand history it means nothing record it using a screen recorder and then go by those hands! They can send you and email and change 90% of the hands and you will not remember all those hands they know this so thats the only numbers I would go by! Good Luck and see you at the tables!

Very nice....I have run 1M+ in pokertracker and everything looks fine.

BUT...

It should be a way to look at the "Critical hands". The hands that cost u the tornament.... obv the hands u remember best but....also the hands that matter the most.
I m convinced there is something "wrong" in these hands...too bad its
"impossible" to register...

Im on a huge downswing btw :-P

Yup. Definitely a scam site. If u watch closly u can even see the river card "hesitate" for a moment. It's thinking of what card is needed to beat the guy with the lower stack. If your not way ahead at the start then do not expect to win. Big stack rules. Makes sense from a business perspective. The more games they can turn over the more money they make!!! Playing real life poker is in no way similar to jokerstars. After 15 years at the table u really notice that AA isn't cracked that many times. No more deposits for this guy!! Good luck to the suckers :)

I totally agree. Pokerstars have some hotshot players which called Team Pro. They give lectures and tips etc in the pokerschool site. I am sure like many of us they play their playable cards as we do and press aggresively with monster cards as we do. I am almost always losing with my monster cards when matters most. Not few times but all the time. How come team pro members wins constantly doing the same thing and we can not?

I am all the way with you to expose tgis scam

Tony... I have noticed the same things. I also can predict what the next cards will be if I am all in after I have seen my opponents hand. Just recently, when I had Q-10 and flopped A-K-J... When I saw my opponent had A-8, I predicted the next 2 cards would be 8 then A... And so it was.

This is highly derivative and inherently flawed. When will I see a comprehensive analysis. How stupid do you think poker stars is? They have a record of all hands played on their site, and their rigged number generator ensures that the "math" adds up in these scenarios under no uncertain terms. You have to outsmart the fox and these pathetic analytic attempts will never show what a winning player like me is asking for. What I want to know is the "value" of my bad beats. In essence, when I receive a bad beat it's usually near the bubble, or near a final table bubble, basically whenever the pot is as massive as it gets (either cash game or tourney). Oh how many times I get close to the big payouts and my 97 percent fave (post flop) loses to runners. But it's not just this that needs to be scrutinized. I'd like to see how many flush draws I flop when holding two suited hole cards, and how often they flush out, how many times I flop sets (and how many times they lose). I could go on but the analysis I crave essentially would calculate all mathematics involved, but not just that. Also it would include a player's "profile". This is what poker stars uses to determine what kind of player you are. Such as high, medium, or low stakes. In addition, this profile includes whether you are a casual/weekend player, or play hours each day. This daily player is their bread and butter, regardless of the stakes. Stars keeps tabs on all players bankrolls (not just to avoid what full tilt did) but also to ensure daily players continue to play (primarily at whatever stake level you are at). Their ultimate goal, to keep money in play and to avoid withdrawals. A tough task, but after losing fifty percent of their revenue since black friday and being forced to ban americans (not to mention essentially being forced to buy full tilt to save their asses-a form of evidence that can lead one to infer that stars have no scruples regarding "grey" areas of any laws, and let's not forget they are unregulated) Bottom line, they're rigged number generator is so sophisticated it ensures that the easily analysed stats all line up like ducks in a row, but you need to go much deeper to find the discrepancies I'm positive are there. This analysis must be done on no less than five players using their hand histories only, with at least a hundred thousand hands on each (more would be better). But each player should also fit a different "profile" such as stakes, how often they play, different parts of the world, and bankroll monitoring and amounts. There's more that should be included in a truly thorough analysis that will almost certainly show manipulation. Remember, I'm a winning player that never needs to deposit, but I play a lot and haven't cashed anything worthy of my skill since black friday. I suspected the donks had simply gone and that was my issue, but I analyzed my hands and found no holes in my strategy or play. But I have no idea to do proper analysis like I've stated, but I would gladly work with anyone that could. This is beyond bad beats, it's just bad poker.

I'm exclusively an 18 man turbo SNG player who knows how huge the ICM is in this games and I'm getting screwed on the money bubble with around 75% average equity over 90% of the time, i have lost with AA in these spots 9/10 times 5 times vs Ax even.

Just look at this hand to see how badly i get setup on the bubble:

I think, today, after another several of so many statistically improbable river beats, always falling to the frequent "players", I'm finally getting this advice into my head and heart. I'm done. Sucks that I can't get a real casino in New Jersey outside of the crook zone in AC - have to wonder whether that vote was as rigged as the online games.
