I watched:

MOSQUITO:
A documentary on the spread of diseases never seen in the first world
by mosquitos. It was tolerable, if not a bit alarmist, until they
claimed "global warming" was causing them to become more popular, in
addition to becoming immune to DDT, being spread by global markets, and
man's ability to travel freely around the world. Watching them in
action with enhanced sound effects makde my skin crawl.

THE TOUR DE FRANCE:
Stage 6.

I watched:

TONI ERDMANN: A 2016 German film that was labeled as a comedy/drama,
but didn't really appear to be attempting humor. Instead, this was the
story of a father and daughter (both adults) who have a horrible time
trying to connect with each other or with anyone around them. This was
a good film, though somewhat downbeat...and as a warning I'll also say
that it runs nearly 3 hours and most of it is subtitles.

What did you watch?

What a load of garbage. The contestants had very dubious 'powers' and

simple parlor trick.

Blood Drive - "In the Crimson Halls of Kane Hill" - Arthur and Grace try
to rescue Grace's sister from a mental asylum. I'm not sure which movie
was being parodied, but whichever movie it was I don't think I saw it
before. OK episode but I didn't give it my full attention.

Big Brother - Someone gets voted out.

Spider-Man: Homecoming (theatrical) - Fresh off his adventures stealing
Captain America's shield and fighting giant ants in Germany a very
*young* Peter Parker comes back to his aunt May in New York to resume
his boring old life of riding the subway and going to high school.
Stark lets him keep the suit upgrade so Spider-Child, I mean man (who
isn't even old enough to drive) can train but the child just wants to
join the Avengers and fight super villains in their secret layers, not
deal with pickpockets and bike thieves. One day he gets his chance when
he stumbles across a crew of criminals using high tech alien enhanced
weapons, lead by Michael Keaton playing a comic book character named
after a flying animal, Bat, I mean Bird, I mean Vulture. Spider-Child,
I mean man, sees this as his opportunity to prove himself to Stark and
sets out to catch himself a real life super villain while dealing with
the day to day struggles of being a high school kid. This was a really
fun movie and remember to be patient and stay for all the credits.

Private Eyes (Global) -- He and She are called to the site of a free
clinic ransacking by Maz. Turns out the doctor is Her "the one that
got away". As they're driving there, She notices He smells of hazelnut
cream and is wearing yesterday's clothes. He's seeing someone. The
Crownie has probed their relatiionship by asking Him if he's told Her
about them. So He's on notice. He is hinky about the good doctor and
thinks Her judgment is clouded. He sends the junior assistant off to
investigate the doctor and she learns She was engaged to him years
ago. There was another establishment also ransacked with little
admitted to being taken. Further investigation leads to the free
clinic dispensing meds illegally to its clientele and the presence of
an insurance extortion racket in the 'hood whose ringleader claims the
free clinic doc is a friend. It's all a red herring as the bad guy is
paying street people to get the names of clinic clientele so he can
locate his wife who left his sorry ass back in the old country because
he's an abuser. Neither She nor her doc think the other wants them
after their aborted wedding, but He comes to the rescue by setting
them back up. He does himself a solid by not blowing it with the hot
Crownie. Turns out She suspected such after He tells her because She
saw a spark between them right away. Although she's a bit guarded
about it as He was in setting Her back up with the doc.

Saving Hope (CTV) -- Alex has to deal with an holistic yoga guru type
(Missy Peregrym not looking so hot with short blond hair) who needs a
hernia reduction and refuses to go under general. Charlie is a mess
after he's distracted by a ghost at an accident scene such that he
doesn't discover a child that dies. Still not sure whether the shrink
is a ghost or not. Dawn is working with the Board who has receive
complaints about Charlie's behavior. Dana deals with a couple of kids
filming a short to impress their producer dad. Dana focuses the kids
into preparing a video Shahir can use to impress the Adoption people.
Alex apparently has no clue as to what's happening to Charlie based on
what we saw during the episode. They never interacted.

Night Shift (NBC) -- TC doing what TC does in Syria in getting a kid
an operation on the base. Annie brings in Scott's former sober partner
who needs Scott's medical help. This is the one that gave Scott
drinks. Scott says no to help him, but eventually does as the guy's
aneurism leaks. Annie does goodbyes with everyone and tells Scott
she's off to do one of those "Life" journeys. Instead she packs rocks
into a backback and jumps off a bridge into a shallow river/creek.
That came out of left field. Jordan and the new doctor go into the
field. An oil fied worker get his blowed off hand attached to his leg
until his arm heals sufficiently to allow for reattachment.

Don't forget the new season of Degrassi was released. ;-) I need to
get through that and I want to check out Castlevania.

I *tried* to watch Zoo but decided to dump it a few minutes into the
first episode of the new season. I'm still not sure if I finished the
last season or not and with the time jump it's even harder to remember.

The whole first season of CASTLEVANIA clocks in at less than 2 hours.
On the plus side, if you like it, Netflix has ordered a season #2.

Pretty much covered it. No Jules, no Dax, no Jerk Cop, and if Dad
walked by it was minimal. They *did* bizarrely have a last scene in the
diner at the beach, once again as if there's no place closer to go to.

I liked how He's reluctance to tell the world about the Crownie had a
reasonable basis - She had outright forbidden him to bed the lady, and
how does he tell either woman what's going on without infuriating them
and humiliating himself? And She had figured it out anyway. Yay!

I thought it was overly vindictive to sic a stalker on Maz in return for
him reintroducing her to the love of her life, which she was *happy*
about.

I liked the doctor playing Shade (as in Shadow, and shouldn't that be
the other way around?) by pretending to have no idea who the Hell he
was. :)

I ... huh. There are two Vultures, the first a very old man, the second
a big buff guy with lots of black hair. Keaton doesn't fit either, but
it is an interesting BIRDMAN shout out.

Thought #1: Superman has secret layers under his clothes, so why can't
super villains do the same?

Thought #2: Remember that the missing GOTHAM daughter was purported to
be wearing a hoodie and a parka-like military jacket, so New Yorkers do
wear layers (for the weather, the style, or whatever).

OKJA is certainly as light on its feet as PETE'S DRAGON.
I'll give the film a pass on the realism of the title character given
that the budget for the film was relatively small by today's CGI standards.
