God, this is *depressing*! Unquestionably the worst, most annoying L&C
yet. That episode gave more screentime to that pathetic Justin Whalen than
even Hatcher and Cain (and somehow the episode even made the outstanding
William Devane look terrible). And these ratings are only going to prove
to the network goons their preconceived notions about how great Justin
Whalen is.
That episode did it for me! Too much Justin Whalen = IJBall watching
something *besides* L&C.

Hmm...note the discrepancy between the new show on Tuesday and the repeat on
Thursday. Not surprising--I faithfully watched Frasier last season, but have
managed to miss all but a couple of this year's Tuesday showings.

The strong showing for the Halloween episodes seems to have continued into
November.

Wow, is this L&C's highest rating yet? It beat both Earth 2 and Seaquest by a big margin! Ratings like this will keep the show on the boob tube.

Local election programming probably drew viewers away from network election
news, if it didn't replace the network shows entirely. The Boston VHF TV
stations will often run their own special news reports for national events
(for example, WBZ ran its own news reports on the plane crash in PA even
though NBC was interrupting its programming to report the same store; the
result was 5 minutes of local news, 5 minutes of national news, then 5
minutes of regular programming).

people were turning off either Lois & Clark or SeaQuest halfway through

If this keeps up, The Simpsons might be beating both SeaQuest and Lois & Clark
before too much longer.

have watched this if they were going to watch this show at all.
