Violates the established fact that in the DC Cinematic Universe, skies
are never blue.

Are they really trying to make Aquaman look cool? They should've had
Craig Ferguson do it:

Is the guy with the hippie haircut supposed to be Aquaman? Should have a
short, blonde beard.

Aside from that, so far we've just got Batman, Wonder Woman and the
Flash. Not much of a league. I guess the black guy will become Cyborg.
Maybe they think Green Lantern would be a jinx.

Followed on YouTube by a Dr. Strange trailer that looks promising.

Yeah, this guy would have made a better Namor.

Clearly this is 90s Aquaman, which fits with the generally dark and
gritty focus of DC movies.

90s Aquaman:

Is that a 1940s-era Speedo?

Either way, I didn't see him anywhere near water.

They were once talking about David Boreanaz as Namor. How does that sound?

They may still be thinking about a Namor movie, since they've brought
him into the Spider-Man newspaper strip -- along with Dr. Strange, for
whom there IS a movie.

They won't do a Namor movie if Aquaman tanks, you should pardon the
expression.

Hmm. I don't think Boreanaz was every ripped enough to run around in a
bathing suit for a whole movie.

About as good as casting him as The Batman.

Hollywood wants things pre-sold. They're happiest with iconic characters
like Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman that everybody knows-- maybe
Spider-Man qualifies. Aquaman has some clout from having been on an
animated kids show years ago. He's one of the characters you can get on
underwear.

Other movies based on charact3ra that only comics fans will know get by
on the story. Constantine or Dr. Strange -- just another occult movie.
Mostpeople can buy henidea of amuy who builds a super[suit, even if they
never heard o Iron Man.

But I get really annoyed when the actor doesn't fit the image. Chris
Reeve looked like he just stepped out of the comic book. Jack Nicholson
didn't.

Namor should be lean enough to believe he can fly with those little
ankle wings, and should have features with an Asian cast. I guess George
Takei is too old.
