"WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama said Saturday night he will take it as a "personal insult" if the African-American community fails to turn out for the presidential election and encouraged black voters to support Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

Obama delivered his final keynote address to the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, symbolically passing the torch to the person he hopes will succeed him next year. Clinton, his former secretary of state, was honored for becoming the first female presidential nominee of a major party.

Obama said his name may not be on the ballot, but issues of importance to the black community were, including justice, good schools and ending mass incarceration.

"I will consider it a personal insult, an insult to my legacy if this community lets down its guard and fails to activate itself in this election," Obama said with a stern look and booming passion. "You want to give me a good send-off, go vote."

Obama makes an appeal for votes to blacks, and he's "race hustling".
Trump courts White Supremacists, and his supporters think it's fine and dandy.

That's the difference between the two sides in a nutshell.

I'm wondering now when it's okay to appeal directly to a particular bloc
of voters. E.g., maybe there's "single-mom hustling"...

Hate to disappoint the Divider-in-Chief. We've already disappointed him so
much he feels the need to travel the world apologizing for us.

When will we learn that, unlike every previous president, we represent him,
not the other way around?

That old chestnut? The Obama Apology Tour?
Funny how those who perpetuate that lie never seem to produce any
examples from said tour.

A sad little lie that's been debunked for years. We really are getting
desperate, aren't we now?

In Europe, saved three times by America in the last century, Obama
apologized because "there have been times where America has shown
arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive." And in this hemisphere,
Obama said while visiting communist Cuba, "We have at times been
disengaged, and at times we sought to dictate our terms."

Sounds like the sort of thing a chagrined and embarrassed parent would say
about his unruly children. I'm sure you'll pretend that because the exact
words "I apologize" we're not used, that "debunks" the otherwise valid
criticism, but as anyone honest would admit, it's close enough to an
apology as makes no actual difference.

He just pointed out the hypocrisy of having a group of people with guns all around when trying to steal those same guns from people who enjoy 2nd Amendment freedom in the U.S.

Trump only pointed out that the lot of blacks hasn't changed and has in some instances gotten worse so maybe trying something different than democrats might be good for them.

Yup. Did you see the word "apologize", or "sorry" anywhere in there,
counselor?
Anything he said not 100% accurate and truthful? Didn't think so.

Obama's comments came after America just finished destabilizing the
Middle East and collapsing the Global economy. After we admitted
torturing innocents, and illegally spying on American citizens - and
they were fully justified.

Here's what a real presidential apology looks like:
