Update for Tuesday, 12/21/1993 on "The Bold and the
Beautiful"

CHILL TO THE MAX, BABE

Jack tries to calm down a raging Hurricane Stephanie,
who's blowing at least force 3 about Sally's invasion of the
Forrester show/AFI benefit. Jack tells her that in this
town, today you're news, and tomorrow you're history, and
once the Forrester men's line is out, the Armondo line will
be yesterday's blues.

THUNDER IN ERIC'S POCKET

Sally is in scam heaven, but Saul de-orbits her quick
when he tells her that Eric trumped her ace by announcing
the upcoming unveiling of the Forrester men's line while on
stage with Anthony. Leading to a quick Top Ten list of
possible names for the Forrester men's line:

10. Forrester Lumberjack Wear
9. Cute Suits for Loot
8. Zipper-Quicker
7. Pacific Coast Firebreak (PCF)
6. Bell Blast
5. Thorny Ridgeline
4. Zoology 500
3. Who Wears the Pants?
2. Taylor-Made

and the ultimate tribute to the boss lady herself:

1. Brooke's Brothers

Despite Eric's purloining of the Spectra sonic
reverberation due to atmospheric electrical discharge, Sally
tells the assembled Spectra troops that they have carried
the day. "Carpe Diem", "The Battle Hymn of the Republic",
"The Yanks are Coming", "Springtime for Hitler", and the
"Mars" movement from Holst's "The Planet" are heard playing
in the background.

PLEASE DEPOSIT 3 POUNDS FOR ANOTHER 30 SECONDS

The backstage Batphone rings. Commissioner Eric
answers and discovers that it's Catwoman, who wants to speak
with Batman. Actually, it's Taylor, wanting to speak with
Ridge. Eric tries to defuse a potentially explosive
situation, telling Taylor that Ridge expected her to be
there, showing support for Ridge's manliness by wearing some
diaphanous silken thing that emphasized her cleavage. I.e.
stand by your man. Hey, Eric -- it's the 90's. Eric offers
to field the call and leave a massage with the masseur, but
Ridge intervenes, grabs the Batphone and asks who the Joker
is, as Brooke watches nervously, expecting the Riddler.
However, it's Mr. Freeze. Ridge is cool and aloof
while Taylor apologizes profusely for not being at the show.
Abruptly, Ridge says "Bye, babe," and then hangs up.
Awww, did po widdle Widgey get his feelins hurt?

MARRIAGE GOT RUN OVER BY A PAIN, DEAR

Macy and Thorne battle it out. Macy claims she
couldn't dissuade Sally from the course of action. Thorne
claims that Armondo-scum engineered the scam. Macy tells
him that Armondo didn't know what was going down until the
final moments. Thorne, still bucking for December's
Ignoramus Award, doesn't believe her and storms out (hey, I
thought he did that yesterday!) Teary-eyed Macy goes back
to the dressing room backstage, and through the door hears
Armondo taking aim at Sally with both barrels for the damage
the surreptitious show did to her daughter.
Seems Armondo cares. Keith had better get his butt in
gear.

Tune in tomorrow, when it'd be darned fun to hear Jack
say:
"I just hit Powerball for $45 million!"

(2 D.C. people split the $90 million Powerball pot
yesterday, which amounts to a gross of $6000 a day for the
next 20 years, or an approximate net of $4000. I could live
on that.)
