Spokespersons for Jackson said that the accusers were blackmailers who
attempted to extort $20 million from Jackson, but then went public when
their blackmail attempt failed.
I wonder if MacCauley Culkin was involved?

I personally have no way of proving or disproving that, and I doubt you do,
either. But I think you'd agree that his having lied about having a skin
disease shouldn't go very far in convicting him of child molesting, right?

I don't know whether Jackson has a skin disease or not. There was a
doctor on the TODAY SHOW the week of the Oprah interview, though, who
validated the existence of the disease that Jackson discussed. Whether
Jackson actually has it, or whether he wanted to lighten his skin is
another thing.

When I first heard about this, I thought, the guy has been a prime target
for this sort of accusation for years, he's a walking talking day care
center. And he's also stinking rich and there are people out there who
would cash in anyway they could.
But, as the story has progressed, I have become less sympathetic toward him.
Most molestors vehemently protest their innocence at first. I didn't see
the Oprah interview, but I heard a lot about it. It does not strike me as
unthinkable that a man [?] who has had such an unusual upbringing and has had
little opportunity to develop "normally" [whatever that is] might have
some atypical sexual predilictions. It's a shame that this is already such
a media circus. Wouldn't it be nice if the investigation could progress
with some privacy for the people involved. I hope it turns out to be
untrue, but I would not be shocked if they found some evidence of abuse.
LaToya claims they were abused as children . . .

Michael Jackson is NOT a filmmaker, nor a movie actor. Thank you.

Of course not. The two are unrelated. The point I was making was that
the Oprah interview gave us a very careful and calculated portrait of
the man, like Madonna's "Truth or Dare" (desperately trying to keep the
topic relevant!) Oliver Stone's "JFK" is another example of this. For
example, the scene where we see an unidentified hand place the "pristine
bullet" on the stretcher while a voice-over merely talks about the
possibility of such an event. Whether or not it happened, Stone very
carefully (and not so subtley) manipulates the viewer into thinking that
it *did* happen and we just saw documentary style footage to prove it.
Heck, the fact that the interview was on *commercial* television should
have tipped everyone off that we wouldn't get the real truth! ;-)
I'm 97.5% sure. According yo CNN, a WELL known child actor was also brought in
for questioning.
Until?????

Well no real facts except my dad (Ukrainian, caucasian) has a condition
on his hands & arms where he has no melanin (skin pigment) at all. They
are VERY distinct patches, though, not a gradual or general "lightening".
They have been there all his life, although they have spread (a tiny bit)
over the past 60 years.
This may be similar to the "less pigmentation in certain areas" your mom
is describing?

Actually, LaToya and Michael are the same person, and their story
has been made into a movie under the name, "Orlando". It's not
that difficult to learn to dance well after four hundred years of
lessons, but the age tends to affect one's skin coloring.

Well, you didn't hear it from me, but the rumor mill has it that he
plays the lead in "Poetic Justice", and was responsible for the
