Ahem it's GRAPHIC NOVEL actually. I'm doing this for your own good I was almost
ripped apart by some of my friends when last I reffered to them as comic books

They are busy doing Mort with some 2000AD artist, forget his name (not bisley
unfortunately).

Actually, they were originally sold as a (very irregular) four-issue
mini-series (I know since I've got all eight), so you can take revenge on
your pals cos you're right in first place.

Bisley doing Pratchett... I just can't see Mort as a pumped up leering
steroid freak, and Death's "daughter" (forgot her name) as a bodacious
underdressed babe with massive tatas. I don't recall too many blood
'n' guts scenes in Mort, either.

Personally I hop that Steven Ross does it - after all he did a superb jobby
on the graphic version of 'The Colour of Magic'. What do you lot think?

I thought it was pretty decent... Pterry writes "densely" enough that
there's no way you could possibly pack everything worth keeping into a
comic without making it 24 issues or so (we can dream!) Given that, I
thought the character drawings were on target, and they did a good job
of keeping the story intact.

You should avoid hedging, at least that's what I think.

Although it's going to be an unpopular opinion, I thought the *Graphic Novel* was
better than the book. The characterisation of rincewind was perfect. I think the
Kirby pictures don't look anything like the character. It has been said that
Rincewind is about 28-30 so it's a much more accurate picture. Also, it's suprising
how much of the story fitted into the novel - i re-read the book after and there's
really not that much missing. Alot of the details were passed off in the drawings.
There was much attention paid to detail- remember when rincewind got the tip of
his hat chopped off. For the rest of the entire book he had a frayed tip on his hat.
I personally would love to see Sorcery drawn by Steven Ross.

still, any more prachett brought to life can't be bad...;-)

=o= Printed by Innovation, actually.

=o= I dunno, but I will plug these books: They turned me on
to Terry Pratchett. Now I'm in the midst of reading all the
Discworld books, and of course I love _Good_Omens_ (even
though I'm not the world's biggest fan of collaborator Neil
Gaiman).
