OK folks, I've got the hotel contract in my grubby little hands.

AnimeCon has the hotel from July 2nd to July 8th.

We've got 1,562 room nights committed to us.
(This year we had 1,652 and sold out the hotel one month in advance)

The room rates per night are as follows:

Single $62 Reduced from $140
Double $69 Reduced from $155
Triple $75 Reduced from $170
Quad $81 Reduced from $185

I believe that they are the same rates as this year.

To book rooms, contact the Red Lion Hotel at (408)-453-4000.
An official air carrier is being looked at.

We will be running early reg on Thursday night again from 8:00-10:00.
Parties also seemed to be going on on Monday night, (we may be able to
repeat the escapades of Robert Napton and Toshi Yoshida).

We've cleaned up the video problems and are looking at running some
programming at the Hyatt as well.

More info after we've decided on guests and membership rate
deadlines.

You mean...no infernal buzzing noises from any channels? But it's a trademark!
(sarcasm floods the room and short-circuits the computer.)

Guest poll? Who's you like to see as a guest? (Tsukasa Hojo would be nice.
Plus everyone who was there before, like Anno-san and Sadamoto-san!)

Now, about the Hyatt...Will you be running simultaneously the same programming
as in the REd Lion? Questions to ask...

I would like to see some writers and directors there as well. How about some
famous manga artists as well. (There more to anime than character designers.)

How about Takahashi (sp?) of Ranma and UY fame. I was not at the last
Anime Con so I have know idea who WAS there and and who WASN'T there.

Can anyone tell me a litte bit on how the Con went? I very much wanted to
go but was out of town...sigh....Maybe this year...<cross fingers>...

Wow! Is that the actual days that the con is going run?
Or is that allowing a day for set-up and a day afterwards
for tear-down?

That is a loooooong convention if you are planning on having
it for 7 Days....

I am very interested in going to AnimeCon '92, but I don't
think My boss would let me off for *that* long.

Please tell me that those days (7/2 thru 7/8) are just the
Overall days that the Con Staff have agreed with the Hotel
Staff to stay for...

...So, what is the official Start Date of the Convention
and the Finish Date for the Convention?? (The actual date/time
that the actual con activities will be starting/finishing)

We booked these dates so that people visiting the West Coast can do
other things besides go to the AnimeCon, like visiting SF, going to
Cal or Stanford, etc.

The con officially kicks off on Friday July 3rd and runs to Monday
July 6th.

The 2nd is a set-up and early registration day, and the 7th is
traditionally a break-down day.

Now if you can get Kai Asamiya to show up...
