Andrea
how do you manage to rent (sell) your extra weeks? We keep trying and get no takers. We sure would be happier campers if we could rent out a couple of them
Thanks

everyone's $.02 is valuable :)
i got a fantastic deal thru RE so i'm happy with it---and i love the 1 bedroom suite w the full bar - especially when entertaining friends after hrs and the aircond. lounge, RE pool and soft lounge chairs on the beach - just saying-for me it works ... plus i sell at least 2 weeks every yr which pays for my airfare! last trip (0ct 2010) cost my husb and i """$700""" total everything included for the 2 of us (not per person)- the weeks we sold paid for airfair plus... Oct 2011 will be a bit more cause airfare went up and so far all inclusive is higher so it will be somewhere around $900 for the 2 of us-still a great deal in my book :) ... we had been going there since it was the gala ---even when sandos took over we had paid thru a travel agency appx $2500 for 6 days oceanfront studio upgrade---so u can see why we bought in...we have the luxury of going any time of yr (not to be confused w/any time we want to go lol) so we benefit fr the lowest ai rates during low season...

Everyone is different, the suites or 1 or 2 bedrooms does not mean that much to me. The room is just a place to sleep and put my stuff while I enjoy the resort. I am happy to have a decent room and a great rate. The black bracelet also means very little to me. If I had a chance to do it all again, I wouldn’t be a RE member. I just purchased a great deal to Barcelo in June, 5 resorts in one and a better rate than Sandos could give me as a RE member. With this economy there’s a lot of resorts looking for our business with great rates. My suggestion don’t buy RE and shop those resorts. I’m seeing 10 good years before things start to turn.
My $.02

also when comparing your trip to a travel company realize that the travel company isn't giving u a 1 or 2 bedroom suite (or the RE haciendas at playacar or penthouse at caracol) or the amenities that the black bracelet gets in the package...even if it's an upgrade from standard room to select club it's still not black bracelet and usually not a suite ...

Sharon, I have a 1 bedroom but can check if it's available. Email me if interested. I will take $500 for the week. Thanks' |
I also have a one bedroom suite that I would rent for $400
|
Hi Sharon, I can get you two two bedrooms. 360 for two bedrooms or 180 per room/wk is what I sold to my friends recently - that will cover my maintenance charges. Let me know. |
