in the Tiger 1 it has a large bike sprocket mounted to the turret going through the Lazy-Susan and into the top hull. from there, a regular bike chain to a wiper motor (wired for it's slow speed).

since this picture was taken, i have removed the sprocket, chain and motor so other work could be done to the upper hull and not get in the way or get bumped around. it will be going back in over the next few weeks once i get things mounted into the lower hull as i need to find a new location for the wiper motor as it protrudes into the lower hull space where other items currently need to go

this picture better shows how it doesn't quite fit into the upper hull of this Tiger (mind you, this Tiger is 1:7 scale)

with this arrangement, the Turret turns at a nice speed, not too fast, not too slow. but when i get to putting in the electronics, i'm going to be using a ESC rather than a momentary switch so i can have finer control over it if need be

here are a few other pictures of it while it was still installed

and it appears even in this remote location, there are wondering eyes and ears....... and for all i've done for him, he slinks around..... stalking me........

if you need any other pictures of the parts while it's still apart, let me know - not like there's much to see
