FS 2011 SAM HILLBORNE FRAMESET + SEAT POST - Hi, Sorry this may be a duplicate posting but I'm learning about this process and I hope to get better with this group - I just used the parts from this frame set to build myself a new Joe Appaloosa which I'm pretty much in love with. Will have more questions on that a little later. But I'm selling this Frameset for $600 + $80 for shipping. I think I've successfully posted this on my google account so here's the link with some pics. Oh and yes, I would consider a partial trade for a front rack and a large basket if anyone is interested in that type of exchange.

The pics say 48cm so it's going to be 650B.

Is the attached geo chart correct for the 2011 Hillbornes? I'm strongly considering this for my partner who's 5'3".

Thanks!

I think that's correct and the frame should work with sweptback bars for a 5'-3" person.. certainly Boscos.

I have one for my wife who is 5’2” with Albatross. Works fine. She loves it.

Hi, this chart sizing looks correct - just checked the tt measurement which appears to be 54.5cm as noted on the chart. I’ve also attached the original invoice on the build which notes the sizing as well. This bike was built for my partner who is 5’ 1” with a drop bar format for road riding. The bike was just about 10cm too big on the reach for her with the drop bar and a 60mm stem that I tried. I think this would be perfect for someone 5’3”. I am 5’6” and it was just too small for me. I stole all the parts and bought the 51cm appaloosa and it’s perfect for me - Hope that helps.

Also, can you send me pics of the racks - the nitto m12 might be perfect. Not sure on the other one but want to see.

thanks, D

That's a darned good deal for one of Riv's perennial favorites. And it has a single top tube, which is worth an extra $150 to $200 right there.*

But: What size is it?

I owned a 55 cm Sam Hill, canti model -- in fact, it had been a Riv shop floor demo and if mine had taken 50 mm tires, I'd have kept it. I did have Dave Porter add mid-fork-leg lowrider brazeons and IIRC one other doodad before I sold it, but I certainly sold mine for more than $500.

I don't need a Sam, but they are nice bikes.

Its 48cm frame - she’s a great frame for someone - if it doesn’t sell soon, I’ll store it away. I know this is a steal! Would like someone to get this that will get a lot of fun out of it! Cheers!
