So it has come to this. My wife has worn me down and has a last in
first out policy so the Bombadil I acquired a few months ago has to
find a new home. Truth be told it does not get enough riding to
justify such a beautiful bike and it is time to get my daughter a
bedroom set and pay school tuition again. Frameset is a 52cm Wateford
with 1 top tube, made in 2011 custom with the one top tube for Jimmy
(Hobie) who I bought it off of. Custom Hunqpillar grey, paint looks
amazing.. Comes with Dura-Ace Headset with thousands of miles on it.
Light miles, bike needs a home where it will get thrashed a bit,
haha. Only scuffs I can see are a small one on the decal and another
at the derailuer clamp but that one will obviously be covered up, no
chainsuck or other nicks and scratches. Looking to get close to what I
paid for it-$1,500, I will pay for shipping. Here is a link to my
Flikr page with some pics of it buit up. If you want more just let me
know. Thanks all.

No takers, Come on! I know it has only been a day but looking at price points I will drop it a bit to $1,400 shipped with the Paul Touring Canti's included. I know it hasnt even been a day yet but every time my wife looks at it she just grumbles something and skulks away....Thanks All!

Rivendellians, any thoughts about sizing on the 52 Bombadil for those
of us who are around 5'9"?

RBW says the PBH for the 52 is 81 to 87cm. I think you need the bike;
that's a good deal, and I'd be very tempted if it was my size.

I'm 5' 11 1/2", and ride a 56 cm Bomba comfortably. PBH around 86. If you give the folks at Riv your PBH, they'll tell you what will fit. I would guess a 52 would fit you well. Peter's bike is very attractive. Nice brakes, too

It's just a smidge big for me at 5'-7". I think 5'-9" would be fine on it.

That's a fine looking bike, Peter, and appears to be a good deal.

But I'm married, and I know now is not the time for a new project.  I'm hoping someone on this list will snatch it, and show us lot's of ride report photos.  I think I hear the cogs in Ryan's brain turning...

Yeah, and the cogs are saying that this might doom the impending
marriage...

Ok so interesting developments are afoot. I struck a deal to sell my super fancy phone that I really dont use since I am not on facebook, twitter or any of that other garbage, its really surprising that someone will pay close to $500 bucks for a phone but hey, I will take it!.  So the Rivendell survives to ride again, although I might be selling my MB2 at some point since there is a bit of overlap.  Looking at everyone's PBH and talking to Rivendell makes me wonder if I am one size too small on it. I mean it is just for cruising around town so no need for the 2 inches of standover I have currently. I highly doubt anyone will want to trade thier 56 for my 52 so I am gonna start squirreling away money on my bike stuff credit card for a nice present to myself in July! That is unless someone doe want to trade, hit me up. Otherwise look for ride reports rather than shameless solicitations. Thanks to everyone here, truely a nice corner of the net.
