WTB: A really long stem. Like 120/130/140/150. 26mm clamp. For 1" threaded headsets.

Not many are made that big but my top tube is too short. Only the hoods on my bike are comfortable at all. I really want to stretch out.

My current one is beautiful and 100mm long: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ryanrray/7281514250/in/photostream (I'm measuring it wrong)

120 could probably work but longer would be better I think.

(Yes I posted for a trade but didn't get any bites. Kind of hard to trade a stem anyway unless you have a few lying around)

Hi Ryan,
My 120 Technomic is just gathering dust. If you're interested, I'll sell it cheap. I'll have to check and make sure it's 26mm though. I'm in Seattle as well.

Ryan,

I had a similar problem on my Quickbeam (64 when I should have bought
a 68) and someone here suggested getting a Soma Highrider threaded-to-
threadless adapter and then having more extension options with a
threadless stem. I went this route and put a V.O 120 mm stem and it
solved my too tight and too low cockpit problems easily. V.O also
makes an adapter with less extreme height that's cheaper if bar height
is not an issue.

Hated to give up the quill stem, but they're really aren't enough
options out there that give horizontal extension. Doing the above made
my bike perfect, whereas I'd considered selling it with the quill stem
fit problems.

Hope that's helpful.
