Pay attention to the $10-off deal in the lower right corner. I almost missed it.

Anyone actually get the coupon code to work?  I get a "
  • Your shopping cart must contain a total quantity of less than 1. Your current cart quantity is 9" error.

Wouldn't a total quantity of less than 1 be 0?..erruummm

I couldn't get it to take my entry.  The "Where did you purchase" field would not fill for me whether I clicked in it or used the drop-down.  Tried several times.  It didn't say the serial number was used, though.  Will try again another time.  Steve

There are two panels for numbers entry. The second is the bottom bracket serial number, but is the first the RBW part number?

I took a guess the the first "number" box was the frame size. (given the clues to the right)

Ahh!  Duh!  Thanks for that. I entered the RBW Part number. Too bad the panel wasn't labeled "Size" so dolts like me wouldn't get confused… (Are you listening RBW?)

This is pretty interesting. If I may, a few suggestions to consider:

* Make it publicly searchable (sans personally identifying information of course)
* Add a Sell Date field
* Add "By previous owner" selection to the Assembled-by field
* Make the Model field a drop down
* Make the Size/Number field context aware, which is to say one can only choose the sizes that were available given the model chosen in the drop-down
* Add a color field, again context aware with a custom option
* Admittedly I expect it hard/tedious for Riv to do in most cases and probably impossible in a few, but given the model & serial number display the date & location of Manufacture, or if too hard add these as fields for owner to enter, obviously with Unknown as one of the choices
* I suppose this could get out of hand in a hurry, but a few of the build details, at least wheels would be interesting

-Allan Folz

Joe,

The code should work now.
Not sure why your "lugs" coupon didn't come through.. Email me and
I'll sort it out.

I accessed/entered my data via iOS, worked fine;

However, I need to edit my entry;   I assumed the first number was which of your Rivs...1st one, 2nd one, wasn't thinking size...  lol...

Dave,

Awesome job!   It's nice to be able to pass along feedback, etc.   It's nice to have Riv personnel on here (Grant, John, you....).

Looks like the changes are being made as we speak - great job team! FYI - in the comments section I mentioned the paint color as mine was a special request. Might be nice to add a photo or a link to my Flickr set. And it would be cool to be able to edit/add bikes as they come along and have an on-going record that you could access quickly if a bike ever goes missing. Is there a way to print out the record once it's filled in?

Those are great suggestions Allan. Having consistency in the entries (as you'd get with dropdowns) is crucial to the later usefulness of the database.

I was able to add my entry later.  Thanks for the fixes (or maybe it was security s/w at work).  Anyway, thanks for this, it's a great idea.  Steve

We're not all from the USA! I can't enter in my phone number... format
should be: country code-area code-number

Great idea though.
