Like Grant, I have also given up riding double centuries in under 11 hours. That's what lights are for, right?

Love it. I hate having to remember where I put my car or motorcycle
keys. My bike-lock keys are, for some reason, always much easier to
find!

I cracked up at the rocket surgeon who took Grant's comment 'wear what you like when you ride' and twisted it around to mean 'never change your sweaty clothes.  Wear your work clothes, and spandex is bad'.

Grant's writing is always fun to read; I enjoy his style & clarity. I
too had to chuckle when someone got the "wear what works for you"
message twisted around to something negative. I imagine Grant and
others in similar situations grow weary of that sort of thing. "How
could someone make THAT inference?".

I know right?  A pleasant cheerful person, that gets portrayed as a grouch for years, would be hard pressed not to become grouchy.  :)
