I feel like a lost breed amongst all the carbon bikes w stem risers. And I get jealous of all the other rivrallies that are just out of reach. I know Cleveland isn't famous for the land of milk n honey-- but there has to be a few out there. We need an Ohio riv ramble or something...

Hey Murph, I'm from NE Ohio: Parma actually. I know of one other Riv owner in Berea and one other who recently (finally ) sold his house and moved to Jamestown, NY. Two Riv Rally East participants from last year are from the east side and one of them Bruce did the 2012 rally too.

Send me a personal email so we can get acquainted and perhaps ride together. My Riv props include Orange Rambouillet, Bleriot, and 650B Atlantis conversion (to run Hetres).

Hey y'all. There's a good number of Michigander rivs too.

Like Tom said, send an email directly to me, maybe we can plan a
weekend ramble.

Best,

Amit

Woohoo they do exist! An Ohio/Michigan riv rally sounds great. Our fine great lakes have to have a few nice places to camp. I have no idea how to reply individually I haven't been able to figure it out since they switched to the new groups thing. My email though is murphyjrfk at gmail.

Sure! I'm on my Saluki daily here on the east side of Cleveland.

Lots and lots to see in Detroit. Wall art is one of the things I love
most about riding in the city.

Let's go for a ride, y'all! :)

I grew up in Mentor, and as a kid (in the '60's) used to ride my Raleigh 3-speed and then later Gitane 12-speed out toward the Arboretum in Kirkland or to the spring on Wisner Road. We once took an epic (for 16-year-olds) 50-mile ride from Mentor to Pymatuning Lake. Lovely area to ride bikes. I come back about once a year to visit my sister in Painesville, but sadly never with a bicycle in tow.
