Raleigh Superbe Update

Took a couple of new photos of my Raleigh Superbe. It's been upgraded since I first sent out photos with a Brooks B67 (like the original saddle), a brass bell from the parts bin, and a Carradice bag that was sitting in the closet.  It's looking pretty nice, and the ride is fantastic.  With the addition of a couple of small parts, the 3-speed hub works perfectly.

Next up, if I can find one cheap enough, is a Sturmey Archer dynohub to replace the one that came with the bike but is no longer there.

It looks marvelous - just like they did when they were brand new. For
what they were, these were terrific bikes, and in their niche they are
hard to equal, never mind surpass.

Next up for you: the Lake Pepin Three Speed Tour...

According to Sheldon Brown, English riders in the day commonly used Raleigh 3-speeds for extended touring. Sign me up!
